The 2021 MTN 8 was the 47th edition of South Africa's annual soccer cup competition, the MTN 8. It featured the top eight teams of the Premier Soccer League at the end of the 2020–21 season. Orlando Pirates were defending champions, but were eliminated by Swallows. Mamelodi Sundowns F
Mamelodi, part of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, is a township set up by the then apartheid government northeast of Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. Etymology "Mamelodi" is the name derived from the Sepedi word with the prefix being "ma" meaning mother, and the suffix "melodi" meaning melodies. Its meaning can be translated to mean ''Mother of Melodies''. History The township was established when 16 houses were built on the farm Vlakfontein in June 1953 and later the name changed to Mamelodi. Khama Billiat (born 19 August 1990) is a Zimbabwean professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for South African Premier Division club Kaizer Chiefs. Club career CAPS United FC Billiat first played for CAPS United FC under coach Lloyd Chitembwe in 2010. He featured for only 15 minutes at Rufaro Stadium, before migrating to South Africa. Bernard Parker
Bernard Parker (born 16 March 1986) is a South African professional association footballer who plays as a midfielder or forward for Premier Soccer League club TS Galaxy. Between 2007 and 2015 he made 73 appearances for the South Africa national team scoring 23 goals. Parker started his professional football career playing for Thanda Royal Zulu in the Premier Soccer League, where he made 70 appearances before a one year loan to Serbian side Red Star Belgrade. He joined Eredivisie side FC Twente in 2009, where he spent a season and a half before being loaned out to Panserraikos in the Greek Super League.
