2021 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Baseball Team
The 2021 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs baseball team represented Louisiana Tech University in the sport of baseball for the 2021 college baseball season. The Bulldogs competed in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and in Conference USA West Division. They played their home games at J. C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park, on the university's Ruston campus. The team was coached by Lane Burroughs, who was in his fifth season with the Bulldogs. Lane Burroughs
Lane Burroughs is an American college baseball coach, currently serving as head coach of the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs baseball program. He was previously the head coach at Northwestern State, named to that position prior to the 2013 season. Burroughs played for two seasons at Meridian Community College while earning an associate degree, then completed his eligibility and bachelor's at Mississippi College. While completing a master's degree at Mississippi College, he served as a graduate assistant coach with the Choctaws, then served for one season at East Mississippi Community College and one season at Northwestern State as an assistant coach. Burroughs then worked for eight years at Southern Miss, where he helped lead the Golden Eagles to six NCAA Regional appearances. He served in a variety of roles: third base coach, hitting coach, infielders coach, and recruiting coordinator. Reckling Park
Reckling Park is the baseball stadium at Rice University in Houston, Texas, USA. It serves as the home field of the Rice Owls baseball team. The stadium was built on the site of Cameron Field, Rice's home from 1978–99, in time for the 2000 season. The Owls have hosted 10 NCAA regional and five super regional tournaments at Reckling Park, including one of each in their national championship season of 2003 and in the years of other College World Series appearances, 2002, 2006, 2007, and 2008. The stadium was named for its principal donor, former Rice player Tommy Reckling. The nearby Texas Medical Center can be seen from the outfield. Greer Field at Turchin Stadium is a baseball stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is the on-campus home the Tulane University Tulane Green Wave baseball, Green Wave college baseball team. From 1893 to 1989, Tulane's home ballpark was Tulane Diamond, which was located about south of Turchin Stadium's current location. History The stadium was named for Robert Turchin, a World War II veteran and 1943 graduate of Tulane, and his wife, Lillian Turchin, who headed the drive in 1990 to build it.
