2021 Ladies Tour Of Norway
The 2021 Ladies Tour of Norway was the eighth edition of the Ladies Tour of Norway, a women's road cycling stage race in Norway. The event took place from 12 to 15 August 2021 and is part of the 2021 UCI Women's World Tour. This edition is expected to be the last stand-alone Ladies Tour of Norway, as the race is set to expand to a six-day tour of Scandinavia (the Battle of the North) in 2022 that will also visit Denmark and Sweden. 2021 UCI Women's World Tour
The 2021 UCI Women's World Tour was a competition that included eighteen road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2021 in women's road cycling, 2021 women's cycling season. It was the sixth edition of the UCI Women's World Tour, the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016. The competition began with 2021 Strade Bianche Women, Strade Bianche on 6 March, and finished with the Ronde van Drenthe on 23 October. Dutch rider Annemiek van Vleuten () became the first rider to win the individual classification for a second time, taking a season-high four overall victories during the season, finishing the season with a tally of 3177 points. Eastern Norway
Eastern Norway ( nb, Østlandet, nn, Austlandet) is the geographical region of the south-eastern part of Norway. It consists of the counties Vestfold og Telemark, Viken, Oslo and Innlandet. Eastern Norway is by far the most populous region of Norway. It contains the country's capital, Oslo, which is Norway's most populous city. Drammen
Drammen () is a city and municipality in Viken (county), Viken, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway. Drammen municipality also includes smaller towns and villages such as Konnerud, Svelvik, Mjøndalen and Skoger. Riejanne Markus (born 1 September 1994) is a Dutch professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team . In 2022, Markus won the Dutch National Road Race Championships. Mysen
Mysen is the administrative center of the municipality of Eidsberg in the county of Østfold in Norway. The town is named after the old farm of Mysen ( Norse ''Mysin'', from ''*Mosvin''), since the town is built on its ground. The first element is ''mosi'' m 'bog, marsh', the last element is '' vin '' m 'meadow, pasture'. The town's history Between 1920 and 1961, it was a separate municipality. Mysen became an independent municipality on 1 July 1920 when it was spun off from Eidsberg. On 1 January 1961 Mysen was merged again with Eidsberg. As with many other places in Eastern Norway Mysen has grown up around a railway station, after Østfold Line's Eastern Line opened in 1882. Today the station is an end stop for most local trains on the eastern line. Askim () is a town and a former municipality in (from January 1, 2020) Indre Østfold Kommune in the former county of Østfold county (from January 1, 2020 a part of Viken county), Norway. The administrative centre of the Askim municipality was the town of Askim. Askim was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). Sarpsborg ( or ), historically Borg, is a city and municipality in Viken county, Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality is the city of Sarpsborg. Sarpsborg is part of the fifth largest urban area in Norway when paired with neighbouring Fredrikstad. Halden
Halden (), between 1665 and 1928 known as Fredrikshald, is both a town and a municipality in Viken county, Norway. The municipality borders Sarpsborg to the northwest, Rakkestad to the north and Aremark to the east, as well as the Swedish municipalities Strömstad, Tanum and Dals-Ed respectively to the southwest, south and southeast.
