2021 Faun-Ardèche Classic
The 2021 Faun-Ardèche Classic was the 21st edition of the Faun-Ardèche Classic cycle race. The category 1.Pro race was held on 27 February 2021 as a part of the 2021 UCI Europe Tour and the 2021 UCI ProSeries. The race started and finished in Guilherand-Granges, and featured five climbs, including a triple ascent of the short but steep Côte du Val d'Enfer, the last of which was in the final ten kilometers. It formed a pair of races on the same weekend with the 2021 Royal Bernard Drôme Classic, held on the following day, with both races being organized by Boucles Drôme Ardèche. Teams Eleven of the nineteen UCI WorldTeams, seven UCI ProTeams, and three UCI Continental teams made up the twenty-one teams that participated in the race. All but two teams entered the maximum of seven riders; entered six and entered five, for a total of 144 riders, of which 122 finished. 2021 UCI Europe Tour
The 2021 UCI Europe Tour was the 17th season of the UCI Europe Tour. The season began on 24 January 2021 with the Trofeo Luis Puig, Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana 1969 – Gran Premio Valencia and ended on 24 October 2021 with the Ronde van Drenthe. Throughout the season, points were awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determined how many points are awarded to the top finishers; the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points were awarded. Quinn Simmons (born May 8, 2001) is an American road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Simmons' first sport was ski mountaineering, for which he won the bronze medal in the cadet category in the 2017 World Championships. After switching to road cycling, he won the 2019 world junior road race championships, and the 2018 US junior national road race and time trial championships. On July 22, 2021, Simmons took his first professional victory on Stage 3 of the Tour de Wallonie, taking the overall lead in the process.
