2021 Davidson Wildcats Baseball Team
The 2021 Davidson Wildcats baseball team represented Davidson College during the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. It was the program's 120th 2020 NCAA Division I baseball season, baseball season, and their 6th season the Atlantic 10 Conference. The regular season began on February 20 and concluded on May 22, 2021. Davidson finished the season with a 27–24 record. Rucker Taylor
Rucker Taylor is an American college baseball coach, currently serving as head coach of the Davidson Wildcats baseball team. Taylor played baseball for the Vanderbilt Commodores baseball team while obtaining a degree. He achieved his master's degree while coaching for the Samford Bulldogs baseball team. Coaching career Taylor began coaching as a graduate assistant for the Samford Bulldogs baseball team in 2007. On August 1, 2012, Taylor joined Dick Cooke's coaching staff with the Davidson Wildcats baseball team. Taylor served as the major catalyst for turning Davidson into a winning program, as they have finished with a winning record in 5 of his 6 seasons as coach. In February, 2018, Taylor was named the successor to Cooke beginning the 2019 season. Founders Park, formerly known as Carolina Stadium, is a stadium in Columbia, South Carolina on the banks of the Congaree River. The facility was built for a cost of $35.6 million and is used for college baseball as home to the University of South Carolina Gamecocks baseball team. Facility overview The dimensions of the field are down the right and left-field lines and to dead center, matching those of Sarge Frye Field, the previous home stadium of the Gamecocks. The 2021 South Carolina Gamecocks baseball team represented the University of South Carolina in the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. The 2021 season marked the Gamecocks' 128th overall. 2021 UConn Huskies Baseball Team
The 2021 UConn Huskies baseball team represented the University of Connecticut in the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Huskies played their home games at Elliot Ballpark, their brand new stadium on campus in Storrs, Connecticut. The team is coached by Jim Penders, in his 18th season at UConn. The Huskies played their first season back in the Big East Conference, having departed the American Athletic Conference.
