2021 CS Golden Spin Of Zagreb
The 2021 CS Golden Spin of Zagreb was held on December 7–11, 2021 in Sisak, Croatia. It was part of the 2021–22 ISU Challenger Series. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance. The non-Challenger portion of the event for juniors was cancelled. ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four ( men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. History The ISU Council decided to create the series at its February 2014 meeting. Eleven competitions were selected in June 2014. The Triglav Trophy dropped out by October 10, 2014, resulting in a series composed of ten events. The 2021–22 ISU Challenger Series was held from September to December 2021. It was the eighth season that the ISU Challenger Series, a group of senior-level international figure skating competitions ranked below the ISU Grand Prix, was held. Events The 2021–22 Challenger Series was composed of eight events. The previously announced final Olympic qualifier (Nebelhorn Trophy) was included in the schedule. Cancelled Lost status In the 2021 Asian Trophy, only men's singles and women's singles had international participants, and the total number of ISU member countries represented in the event was 9. These conditions do not satisfy the requirement to be a Challenger Series event. Hektor Giotopoulos Moore is an Australian pair skater. With his skating partner, Anastasia Golubeva, he is the 2022 CS Warsaw Cup champion. On the junior level, Golubeva/Giotopoulos Moore are two-time World silver medalists (2022 and 2023) and the 2022-23 Junior Grand Prix Final champions.
