British Superbike Championship
The British Superbike Championship (BSB), currently known for sponsorship reasons as the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, is the leading road racing superbike championship in the United Kingdom, and was once widely acknowledged as the premier domestic superbike racing series in the world. The championship is managed and organised by MotorSport Vision, who also own many of the circuits the series meets at. The Series and Race Director is Stuart Higgs, with event marshals provided by the Racesafe Marshals Association. The series typically races over twelve rounds from April to October, with the series concluding in a three-round 'Showdown,' where the top six riders are awarded points based on their podium finishes from the previous nine rounds and then compete over three rounds and seven races for the title. Joshua Colton Owens (born December 7, 1988) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Stanford University before playing professionally in the NBA G League, Israel, Italy, Greece and Turkey. High school & college career Owens was named 2007 New Hampshire Gatorade Player of the Year while playing high school basketball at Phillips Exeter Academy. Owens played college basketball at Stanford, playing in the Pac-12 Conference of the NCAA Division I, from 2007 to 2012. Peter John Hickman (born 8 April 1987 in Burton-upon-Trent) is an English professional motorcycle racer and business owner for preparation of racing machines. For 2021, he competed in the British Superbike Championship class aboard a BMW M1000RR, initially with superbike teammate Xavi Forés for new team FHO Racing, formed from some elements of Hickman's old team Smiths Racing, which closed at the end of the 2020 season.
