The 2021 Arab Club Basketball Championship () was the 33rd season of the Arab Club Basketball Championship. The tournament started on 29 September 2021 and ended on 9 October 2021. The entire tournament was held in Alexandria, Egypt, as all games were played in the Hall Al Ettehad Al Sakandary Club or in the Borj Al Arab Hall. Al Ahly (basketball)
Al Ahly is an Egyptian basketball club, located in Cairo, Cairo Governorate, that plays in the Egypt Basketball Super League. Currently, two of its athletes play for the Egypt national basketball team. The team is part of the multi-sports club of the same name. The club has won six Egyptian Super League titles, eleven Egyptian Cup titles. Internationally, Al Ahly has won the FIBA Africa Champions Cup in 2016, and the Arabophone Championship in 2021. History Ahly Basketball team was founded in 1930. It is one of the oldest basketball clubs in Egypt and in Africa. Elmedin Kikanović (b. 2 September 1988) is a Bosnian professional basketball player for Al Riyadi Club Beirut of the Lebanese Basketball League. He has also played for his country's national basketball team. Professional career Early career Kikanović began his career playing for Sloboda Tuzla. From 2007 until 2010, he played for Crvena zvezda, but he was suspended from play in 2010 due to doping. In June 2011, he signed with the Russian club Yenisey Krasnoyarsk. Michael Jovan "Juice" Thompson (born February 9, 1989) is an American professional basketball player who plays for Al Ahly of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) and the Egyptian Basketball Premier League. Manama Club, also known as Al Manama, is a Bahraini professional basketball team based in Manama. They play in the Bahraini Premier League and are the most decorated team in national basketball history, having won a record 24 championships, 18 Cup titles, and 5 Super Cup titles. Currently, Manama also plays in the West Asia Super League (WASL), which they won in 2023. Manama plays in the BBA Arena, which is also known as the Zain Basketball Arena. Al Bataeh Club is a football club from Al Bataeh, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The team joined the UAE football league in 2019–20 season. History Founded in 2012, the club started its sporting activities with table tennis and athletics. The football team was established in 2013 as a youth academy and competed in many youth tournaments. Beirut Club () is a basketball team based in Beirut, Lebanon, who plays in the Lebanese Basketball League (LBL), the top-flight of basketball in Lebanon. Home games of the club are played in the Stade Nouhad Naufal. The club was first promoted to the Lebanese Basketball League in 2017, and has played there ever since.
