2020–21 UAE Division 2
2020–21 UAE Division two is the second season of newly formed third tier Emirati football league and it will be the first to be completed as the 2019–20 season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This season will feature 15 teams split into two groups, one containing 8 teams while the other containing 7. This season will see an increase in teams from the previous season which only included 10 teams. This season will include the majority of last year's participants with the exception of Quattro and Al Falah who both are supposed to be promoted to the UAE First Division League but their step towards the 2nd tier league was denied due to the cancellation and difficult facilities of the clubs preventing them from climbing the UAE football pyramid. UAE Second Division League
UAE Second Division League is the third tier of football league competition in the United Arab Emirates, the league is organised by UAE Football Association for private funded clubs and universities with amateur teams. The league was established in 2019. The league featured 10 teams who played each other twice in its first season however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Arab Emirates, the UAE footballing season was cancelled and declared a void and all results were null. The UAE FA set a strategy to support featuring more privately owned clubs and football academies in the UAE Football Pyramid. Ahead of the 2022–23 season, the UAE FA confirmed that the format of league will remain as 12 teams, with the introduction of the UAE Third Division League with a promotion-relegation system. Fursan Hispania Football Club ( ar, نادي فرسان الإسباني لكرة القدم) is an Emirati football club that started as an academy in Al Sufouh, Dubai. They currently play in the UAE First Division League, after promotion from the Second Division in the 2021–22 season.
