2020–21 Tennessee Lady Volunteers Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball team represented the University of Tennessee in the 2020–21 college basketball season. Led by former Lady Vol Kellie Harper, entering her second year as head coach, the team played their games at Thompson–Boling Arena and are members of the Southeastern Conference. Previous season The 2019–20 team finished the season 21–10, 10–6 for a third-place tie in SEC play. They lost in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament to Kentucky. Preseason SEC media poll The SEC media poll was released on November 17, 2020 with the Lady Volunteers selected to finish in sixth place in the SEC. Kellie Harper
Kellie Jolly Harper (born May 3, 1977) is the current head coach for the Missouri Tigers women's basketball team. She previously served as head coach of Western Carolina, NC State, Missouri State, and Tennessee. Playing career Born Kellie Jean Jolly in Sparta, Tennessee, she is a graduate of White County High School in Sparta, where she earned many honors as a high school basketball player. In college, she was one of the starting point guards for the Tennessee Lady Volunteers during their three consecutive NCAA women's national championships from 1996 to 1998. In 1997, Harper was named to the Final Four All Tournament team. Wyoming East High School is a consolidated regional high school in New Richmond, West Virginia serving the eastern half of Wyoming County, West Virginia. Opening ahead of the 1998-1999 Academic School Year, Wyoming East is a consolidation of former Pineville High School and Mullens High School.
