2020–21 Swiss Cup
The 2020–21 Swiss Cup is the 96th season of Switzerland's annual football cup competition. The competition began on 29 August 2020 with the first games of Round 1 and ended on 24 May 2021. BSC Young Boys are the title holders. Participating clubs All teams from 2019–20 Super League and 2019–20 Challenge League. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only 18 slots (instead of 45) were allocated to teams from lower divisions. Those teams had to qualify through separate qualifying rounds within their leagues. Reserve teams and A-teams from Liechtenstein are not allowed in the competition, the latter only enter the 2020–21 Liechtenstein Cup. Teams in bold are still active in the competition. FC Luzern
Fussball-Club Luzern (), or simply abbreviated to FCL, is a Swiss sports club based in Lucerne (german: Luzern). It is best known for its professional football team, which plays in the Super League, the top tier of the Swiss football league system, and has won the national title once and the national cup three times. FC Aarau
FC Aarau is a Swiss football club based in Aarau. They play in the Swiss Challenge League, the second tier of Swiss football after being relegated from Swiss Super League. History FC Aarau was formed on 26 May 1902 by workers from a local brewery. The early days of the club were a success and they won the Swiss championship in 1911–12 and then again in 1913–14. The club spent 25 years, from 1907 to 1933, in the top league but were relegated to the lower league and were unable to return to the top flight for a number of decades. In the 1980–81 season the club were able to return to the top league in the Swiss football pyramid after a 3–1 victory over Vevey-Sports. Servette FC is a Swiss football club based in Geneva, founded in March 1890 with rugby as its first sporting activity, and named after the Geneva district of the same name. Football Club de Sion, commonly known as simply FC Sion or Sion, is a Swiss football team from the city of Sion. The club was founded in 1909, and play their home matches at the Stade Tourbillon.
