2020–21 PSV Eindhoven Season
The 2020–21 season was PSV Eindhoven's 108th season in existence and the club's 65th consecutive season in the top flight of Football in the Netherlands, Dutch football. In addition to the 2020–21 Eredivisie, domestic league, PSV participated in this season's edition of the 2020–21 KNVB Cup, KNVB Cup and also participated in the 2020–21 UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa League. PSV Eindhoven
Philips Sport Vereniging (; en, Philips Sports Association ), abbreviated as PSV and internationally known as PSV Eindhoven (), is a Dutch sports club from Eindhoven, Netherlands. It is best known for its professional football department, which has played in the Eredivisie, the top tier in Dutch football, since its inception in 1956. Along with Ajax and Feyenoord, PSV is one of the country's " big three" clubs that have dominated the Eredivisie. The club was founded in 1913 as a team for Philips employees. PSV's history contains two golden eras revolving around the UEFA Cup victory in 1978 and the 1987–88 European Cup victory as part of the seasonal treble in 1988. Eran Zahavi (or Zehavi, he, ערן זהבי; born 25 July 1987) is an Israeli professional footballer who plays as a forward for Israeli Premier League club Maccabi Tel Aviv. Zahavi was named Israeli Footballer of the Year twice (2013–14 and 2014–15), and finished as the top goalscorer of the Israeli Premier League for three consecutive seasons, in 2013–14 (29 goals), 2014–15 (27 goals) and 2015–16 (35 goals, all-time league record). Maximiliano Romero
Maximiliano Samuel Romero (born 9 January 1999) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a centre forward for Racing, on loan from Eredivisie club PSV. Club career Velez Sarsfield Before making his professional debut, the Argentine forward was close to being transferred to English side Arsenal F.C., for a reported €6 million fee. However, after suffering a knee cruciate ligament injury in a reserves game in 2015 he stayed with Vélez. Again in 2016 Arsenal were rumoured to be interested in Romero, however nothing came of it. Cody Gakpo
Cody Mathès Gakpo (born 7 May 1999) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Liverpool and the Netherlands national team. A PSV academy graduate, Gakpo made his first-team debut in February 2018. In the 2021–22 season, he won the Dutch Footballer of the Year award after scoring 21 goals in 47 games in all competitions. Pablo Paulino Rosario (born 7 January 1997) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Ligue 1 club Nice. He has made one appearance for the Netherlands national team in 2018. Mauro Jaqueson Júnior Ferreira dos Santos (born 6 May 1999), commonly known as Mauro Júnior, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a left back or a left winger for PSV Eindhoven. Érick Gabriel Gutiérrez Galaviz (born 15 June 1995) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Eredivisie club PSV Eindhoven and the Mexico national team. Marco Wulfert Cornelis van Ginkel (; born 1 December 1992) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Eredivisie club Vitesse. He can also play as a defensive or attacking midfielder. Van Ginkel began his career in the youth ranks of Vitesse, joining the Arnhem-based club as a six-year-old in 1999.
