2020–21 PFC Sochi Season
The 2020–21 PFC Sochi season was Sochi's second season in the Russian Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Russia, and their third season as a club. Sochi finished the season in 5th position, qualifying for the UEFA Europa Conference League for the first time, and reached the Quarterfinals of the Russian Cup where they were eliminated by eventual champions Lokomotiv Moscow. Football Club Sochi (russian: Футбольный клуб Сочи, Futbolny Klub Sochi), is a Russian professional football club based in Sochi. The club is playing its home matches at the 47,000-capacity Fisht Stadium. History FC Sochi was founded on 6 June 2018 after the relocation of FC Dynamo Saint Petersburg to Sochi, thus becoming the only professional football club in the city. FC Rostov (russian: link=no, Футбольный клуб Ростов) is a Russian professional football club based in Rostov-on-Don, Rostov Oblast. The club are members of the Russian Premier League, and play at the Rostov Arena. After the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the European Club Association suspended the team. History 1930-1989 The club was established on 10 May 1930, and was initially named Selmashstroy (Сельмашстрой). They were renamed Selmash in 1936 and Traktor in 1941. FC Orenburg
FC Orenburg (russian: ФК «Оренбург») is a Russian professionalism in association football, professional football club from Orenburg, founded in 1976. It will return to the Russian Premier League for the 2022–23 season. History It played professionally as Gazovik from 1976 to 1982 and from 1989 on. Before 1976 another Orenburg team, Lokomotiv Orenburg, played professionally, including 3 seasons in the second-highest Soviet First League in 1960–62. In 1989 Gazovik was called Progress Orenburg.
