2020–21 Austrian Football Second League
The 2020–21 Austrian Football Second League was the 47th season of the Austrian second-level football league and the third as the Second League. The league contains 16 teams with one team being promoted to the Austrian Football Bundesliga, and no teams being relegated to the Austrian Regionalliga after the 2020–21 Austrian Regionalliga season was abandoned. Teams Sixteen teams participated in the 2020–21 season. The only promoted team was Rapid Wien II from the Austrian Regionalliga East. FC Wacker Innsbruck (2002)
FC Wacker Innsbruck is an Austrian association football club from Innsbruck. The club was formed in June 2002 as ''FC Wacker Tirol'', and play their home games at Tivoli-Neu. The club regard themselves as the spiritual continuation of the team FC Tirol Innsbruck, which went bankrupt in 2002, and the original FC Wacker Innsbruck, which was founded in 1913 (1913, 1914 or 1915, the founding day is uncertain). In honour of this heritage, FC Wacker Tirol was renamed FC Wacker Innsbruck in 2007. History The ascent of Wacker Tirol into the Bundesliga took only two years from formation, with promotion to the top division achieved in 2004. This was possible because the club made an alliance with 3rd league club Wattens and thus avoided starting in the bottom league. Austrian Football Second League
The Second League (), commonly known as Admiral 2. Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the second-highest professional division in Austrian football. The division currently contains 16 teams, and the champion of the league is promoted to the Austrian Bundesliga if it is not a reserve team. The two last-placed teams are directly relegated from the Second League into the regional leagues. Teams Starting in the 2018–19 season, the former First League changed its name to the Second League and expanded from ten teams to 16 teams. Sixteen teams will participate in the 2025–26 season. Planet Pure Stadion is a multi-use stadium in Lustenau, Austria, built in 1951. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches and is the home ground of SC Austria Lustenau. The stadium (before the 2024-2025 renovation) holds 5,138 people, of which 3,094 seats and 2,044 standing. History The stadium was built in 1951. Lustenau (; ) is a town in the westernmost Austrian States of Austria, state of Vorarlberg in the district of Dornbirn (district), Dornbirn. SV Horn
Sportverein Horn is a football club based in the city of Horn, Austria, which competes in the Austrian Regionalliga East, one of the third tiers of Austrian football, following relegation from the 2. Liga in the 2024–25. Founded in 1922, SV Horn won the Landesliga Niederösterreich title in 1991, 1998, and 2007.
