2020 Súper Liga Americana De Rugby Season
The 2020 Súper Liga Americana de Rugby season was the inaugural season of Súper Liga Americana de Rugby, an annual rugby union competition sanctioned by Sudamérica Rugby. The competition began on 4 March and was scheduled to end on 29 May. On 17 March 2020, the league was suspended until 2021, effectively ending this season after two rounds of play due to the COVID-19 pandemic in South America. Teams Season format Five of the six clubs in the competition competed in the regular season, which was to take place over 10 weeks and would consist of a double round-robin, with each participating club playing 4 matches at home and 4 matches away. The top 4 clubs at the end of the regular season would have moved on to the championship playoffs while the fifth-place club would have progressed to a challenge trophy playoff. Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos (originally known as Estadio Nacional) is the national stadium of Chile, and is located in the Ñuñoa district of Santiago. It is the largest stadium in Chile with an official capacity of 48,665. Fernando Henrique Jungers Portugal (born São José dos Campos, 4 July 1981) is a former Brazilian rugby union player and a current coach. He played as a centre. He first played for São José Rugby Clube, where first appeared in 1996/97, joining the first team in 1999/2000. The Estádio Bruno José Daniel, sometimes called Brunão or Estádio Municipal Bruno José Daniel, is a football stadium in Santo André, São Paulo state. Lautaro (Anglicized as 'Levtaru') ( arn, Lef-Traru " swift hawk") (; 1534? – April 29, 1557) was a young Mapuche toqui known for leading the indigenous resistance against Spanish conquest in Chile and developing the tactics that would continue to be employed by the Mapuche during the long-running Arauco War. Levtaru was captured by Spanish forces in his early youth, and he spent his teenage years as a personal servant of chief conquistador Pedro de Valdivia, but escaped in 1551. Back among his people he was declared toqui and led Mapuche warriors into a series of victories against the Spanish, culminating in the Battle of Tucapel in December 1553, where Pedro of Valdivia was killed. Tala Rugby Club, or simply Tala, is an Argentine rugby union and field hockey club sited in Córdoba Province.
