2020 Russian Circuit Racing Series
The 2020 SMP Russian Circuit Racing Series was the seventh season of the Russian Circuit Racing Series, organized by SMP Racing. It was the sixth season with TCR class cars. In 2020, the GT4 and CN classes were added to the main Touring, Touring Light, Super Production and S1600 classes. Kiril Ladygin won the Russian Touring Car Championship, driving a Lada Vesta Sport TCR. Lada Sport Rosneft clinched the teams' title. Vladislav Nezvankin won the Super Production class, driving a Lada Vesta. Vladimir Sheshenin won the Touring Light class, driving a Lada Granta. Petr Plotnikov won the S1600 class, while Egor Fokin won the S1600 Junior; they were both driving a Volkswagen Polo Sedan. Denis Remenyako with Capital Racing Team won the GT4 class, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT4. Teams and drivers Yokohama was the official tyre supplier. The Mercedes-AMG GT (C190 / R190) is a grand tourer produced in coupé and roadster bodystyles by German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-AMG. The KTM X-Bow (pronounced ''crossbow'') is an ultra-light sports car manufactured by Austrian automotive manufacturer KTM. A company known for their production of motorcycles, the X-Bow was their first mass-produced car in their product range and was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2008. Vladimir Sheshenin (born 10 March 1989) is a Russian racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series. Having previously competed in the Russian Circuit Racing Series, LADA Granta Cup & LADA Revolution Cup amongst others. Racing career Sheshenin began his career in 2001 in Karting, he raced there for many seasons up until 2008. In 2006 he switched to the LADA Revolution Cup, he raced there for a single season and finished 4th in the championship standings at the end of the season. Mikhail Grachev (born 4 January 1988) is a Russian racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series. He made his debut in 2015, having previously raced in the European Touring Car Cup. Racing career Grachev began his career Karting in 2008.
