2020 Russian Circuit Racing Series
The 2020 SMP Russian Circuit Racing Series was the seventh season of the Russian Circuit Racing Series, organized by SMP Racing. It was the sixth season with TCR class cars. In 2020, the GT4 and CN classes were added to the main Touring, Touring Light, Super Production and S1600 classes. Kiril Ladygin won the Russian Touring Car Championship, driving a Lada Vesta Sport TCR. Lada Sport Rosneft clinched the teams' title. Vladislav Nezvankin won the Super Production class, driving a Lada Vesta. Vladimir Sheshenin won the Touring Light class, driving a Lada Granta. Petr Plotnikov won the S1600 class, while Egor Fokin won the S1600 Junior; they were both driving a Volkswagen Polo Sedan. Denis Remenyako with Capital Racing Team won the GT4 class, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT4. Teams and drivers Yokohama was the official tyre supplier. Mercedes-AMG GT
The Mercedes-AMG GT (C190 / R190) is a grand tourer produced in coupé and roadster bodystyles by German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-AMG. The car was introduced on and was officially unveiled to the public in October 2014 at the Paris Motor Show. After the SLS AMG, it is the second sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG. The Mercedes-AMG GT went on sale in two variants (GT and GT S) in March 2015, while a GT3 racing variant of the car was introduced in 2015. KTM X-Bow
The KTM X-Bow (pronounced ''crossbow'') is an ultra-light sports car manufactured by Austrian automotive manufacturer KTM. A company known for their production of motorcycles, the X-Bow was their first mass-produced car in their product range and was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2008. The X-Bow road car was developed in collaboration with KISKA, Audi, and Dallara. Specifications KTM developed its X-Bow road cars in collaboration with design studio KISKA, Audi, and Dallara. It uses a carbon fibre monocoque. The X-Bow uses a 2.0-litre transversely-mounted turbocharged inline-4 engine from Audi that produced at 5,500 rpm and of torque between 2,000 and 5,500 rpm. The Porsche 981 is the internal designation given to the third-generation of the Boxster and second generation of the Cayman models built by German automobile manufacturer Porsche. It was announced on 13 March 2012 at the Geneva Auto Show with sales starting early summer 2012. Vladimir Sheshenin (born 10 March 1989) is a Russian racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series. Having previously competed in the Russian Circuit Racing Series, LADA Granta Cup & LADA Revolution Cup amongst others. Racing career Sheshenin began his career in 2001 in Karting, he raced there for many seasons up until 2008. In 2006 he switched to the LADA Revolution Cup, he raced there for a single season and finished 4th in the championship standings at the end of the season. Having returned to karting in 2007, he stayed there until 2008. He switched to the Russian Touring Light Championship for 2010, finishing 4th in the championship standings. In 2011 he switched to the LADA Kalina Cup, finishing 3rd in the standings. Mikhail Grachev (born 4 January 1988) is a Russian racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series. He made his debut in 2015, having previously raced in the European Touring Car Cup. Racing career Grachev began his career Karting in 2008. In 2011 Grachev made his Russian Touring Car Championship debut in the Touring-Light class, winning the Touring-Light championship in 2012. He raced in the overall championship from 2013 to 2014, winning the championship both years. The Chevrolet Aveo ( ) is a subcompact car (B-segment) marketed by General Motors since 2002. Originally marketed as the Daewoo Kalos, takeover of Daewoo Motors by General Motors (GM) also saw the car being marketed under seven brands ( Chevrolet, Daewoo, ZAZ, Holden, Pontiac, Ravon and Suzuki) in 120 countries, with the Aveo nameplate being the most commonly used one. Ildar Ilhamovich Rakhmatullin (born 6 March 1986) is a Russian racing driver currently competing in the Russian Circuit Racing Series.
