2020 Kansas Democratic Primary
The 2020 Kansas Democratic presidential primary took place until May 2, 2020 in the Democratic Party primaries for the 2020 presidential election, as in-person voting had been cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Kansas primary was a closed party-run primary, undertaken completely by mail-in voting, it was the sole contest held on that date. The state awarded 45 delegates to the 2020 Democratic National Convention, of which 39 were pledged delegates allocated on the basis of the results of the primary. Voters cast ranked choice voting ballots, with a voter's ballot counting for four ranked backup choices if their original choice was in last place and below the 15 percent threshold for winning delegates. Former vice president Joe Biden won nearly 75% of the vote and 29 delegates after the distribution of preferences, while withdrawn senator Bernie Sanders picked up a little more than 22% and 10 delegates. 2020 Ohio Democratic Presidential Primary
The 2020 Ohio Democratic presidential primary took place through April 28, 2020, as part of the Democratic Party primaries for the 2020 presidential election. In-person voting, originally scheduled for March 17, 2020 (along with three different states), had been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Ohio primary was a semi-open primary and awarded 154 delegates towards the 2020 Democratic National Convention, of which 136 were pledged delegates allocated based on the results of the primary. The legislature and governor ultimately made the decision to run an all-mail primary, with no in-person voting, allowing votes to be received through April 28. Former vice president Joe Biden, the only Democrat still in the race, won the primary with more than 72% of the vote and 115 delegates. 2020 Kansas Elections
Kansas state elections in 2020 were held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. The deadline to register to vote was October 13th, 2020. Early voting began October 14th, 2020. Kansas () is a state in the Midwestern United States. Its capital is Topeka, and its largest city is Wichita.
