2020 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup
The 2020 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup was the tenth season of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup and the first after title sponsor Blancpain withdrew support. Calendar The season began on 19 July at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, Imola and ended on 15 November at Circuit Paul Ricard, Paul Ricard. The season featured four rounds, with one race lasting for a duration of three hours, the 6 Hours of Castellet, Circuit Paul Ricard 1000 km, the 6 Hours of Nürburgring lasting for a duration of six hours and the Spa 24 Hours, 24 Hours of Spa events. GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup
The GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, formerly for sponsorship reasons the Blancpain Endurance Series from 2011 to 2015 and Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup from 2016 to 2019, is a sports car racing series developed by SRO Motorsports Group and the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (RACB) with approval from the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It features grand tourer racing cars modified from production road cars complying with the FIA's GT3 regulations. The series's goal is to be an endurance racing championship for GT3 cars, similar to the European Le Mans Series which uses GTE cars and Le Mans Prototypes. The series was primarily sponsored by Swiss watchmaker Blancpain, and the company's Lamborghini Super Trofeo series serve as support races. The 2020 GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup was the eighth season of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup following on from the demise of the SRO Motorsports Group's FIA GT1 World Championship (an auto racing series for grand tourer cars), the first after title sponsor Blancpain withdrew sponsorship. The season began on 9 August at Misano World Circuit and finished on 11 October at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Silverstone is a village and civil parish in Northamptonshire, England.
