2020 French GT4 Cup
The 2020 Championnat de France FFSA GT - GT4 France season is the twenty-third season of the French FFSA GT Championship and the third as the French GT4 Cup, a sports car championship created and organised by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO). The season began on 21 August in Nogaro and ends on 8 November at Lédenon. Calendar A 2020 calendar was announced on 29 July 2019 at SRO's annual press conference at the 2019 24 Hours of Spa. However, as a result of the coronavirus crisis SRO had to revise its schedule and an updated calendar was released on 13 May 2020. The season finale at Circuit de Lédenon on 6–8 November was cancelled due to the restrictions caused by COVID-19 pandemic in France and replaced by the competition at Circuit Paul Ricard on 20–22 November. FFSA GT Championship
The FFSA GT Championship (''Championnat de France FFSA GT'') is a French Grand Touring-style sports car racing series that began in 1997. It is the main event of the ''Championnat de France des Circuits'' (formerly called ''Super Série FFSA'' and ''GT Tour''). It is controlled by the Fédération Française du Sport Automobile (FFSA) and organized by racing company Oreca. Since the demise of the French Supertouring Championship after the 2005 season, the French GT has become France's major circuit racing championship. Mercedes-AMG GT
The Mercedes-AMG GT (C190 / R190) is a grand tourer produced in coupé and roadster bodystyles by German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-AMG. The car was introduced on and was officially unveiled to the public in October 2014 at the Paris Motor Show. After the SLS AMG, it is the second sports car developed entirely in-house by Mercedes-AMG. The Mercedes-AMG GT went on sale in two variants (GT and GT S) in March 2015, while a GT3 racing variant of the car was introduced in 2015. A high performance variant called the GT R was introduced in 2016. A GT4 racing variant, targeted at semi-professional drivers and based on the GT R variant, was introduced in 2017. Anthony Beltoise (born 21 July 1971, in Neuilly-sur-Seine) is a French auto racing driver. He is the son of former Grand Prix motorcycle racer and Formula One driver Jean-Pierre Beltoise and nephew of fellow Formula One driver François Cevert, as his mother is Cevert's sister. Simon Gachet (born 14 October 1993) is a French racing driver who currently competes in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup for Tresor by Car Collection. Career Early career An avid rugby player as a young boy, Gachet was not heavily involved with motorsports in his youth. He was introduced to motorsport through car magazines, and discovered single-seater racing while attending the Formula Motorsport school at the Circuit du Laquais. BMW M4
The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series coupes and convertibles developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, and marketed since 2014. Alpine A110 (2017)
The Alpine A110 is a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car introduced by French car manufacturer Alpine at the 87th Geneva International Motor Show in March 2017. Deliveries began in late 2017 for Continental European markets and in 2018 for the UK, Japan and Australia. Both in name and design, the A110 name had been previously used for the original Alpine A110 that was produced from 1961 to 1977. Ginetta G55
The Ginetta G55 is a specialist sports car, which has been built by Ginetta Cars since 2011. It is built to the FIA GT3 regulations, and the cars are raced in a one-make series; the Ginetta GT Supercup. In addition to this, they are also used in the GT3 class of competitions such as the British GT Championship. It was an evolutionary update of the Ginetta G50, which is a GT4-class car. Cup Ginetta Cars announced in November 2010 that they were going to be building a new sports car, and named it as the G55. In February 2011, the car was released, as a more powerful evolution of the G50. The G55 featured a Ford-sourced 3.7 litre V6, producing 370 hp, in addition to a 6-speed sequential manual gearbox, built by Hewland. Mike Parisy (born 8 October 1984 in Pau) is a French racing driver, who formerly competed in the FIA GT1 World Championship. In 2015 he is racing in the Blancpain GT Series for HTP Motorsport in a Bentley Continental. Career After karting, Parisy began racing in single-seaters in French Formula Renault in 2001. In 2004 he won the Formula France title. In 2005 he raced in the Eurocup Mégane Trophy, before switching to the Porsche Carrera Cup France for 2006. Valentin Hasse-Clot (born 26 February 1996) is a French racing driver who competes in the European Le Mans Series. Career Early career Hasse-Clot's motorsport career began at the age of six, where he competed on his family's karting track in Vaudoy-en-Brie. He graduated to local karting competitions in 2009, receiving mentorship from Henri Pescarolo, and continued into national karting competitions through 2013.
