2020 Forge FC Season
The 2020 Forge FC season was the second season in the history of Forge FC. Forge were the defending league champions, having defeated Cavalry FC in the 2019 Canadian Premier League Finals. Before the start of the season, Forge announced that 18 players from the previous season would be returning in 2020. In addition to the domestic league, the club competed in the CONCACAF League, advancing to the quarter-finals for the first time. On September 19, Forge defeated HFX Wanderers FC 2–0 in the 2020 Canadian Premier League Final to win their second consecutive league title. As champions, they qualified for the 2020 Canadian Championship Final and the 2021 CONCACAF League. Forge FC
Forge FC is a Canadian professional soccer club based in Hamilton, Ontario, that competes in the Canadian Premier League, the top tier of Canadian soccer. The club plays its home matches at Tim Hortons Field. Forge FC joined the CPL in 2019 as one of the league's seven inaugural teams. The club won the first two championships of the Canadian Premier League, winning back-to-back league titles in 2019 and 2020 before winning a third title in 2022. Triston Javon Henry (born September 8, 1993) is a Canadian professional Association football, soccer player who plays for Forge FC in the Canadian Premier League as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Early life In 2013, he played with the Toronto Lynx U20 in the USL Super-20 League, winning the Safe Hands Award and being named to the All-Tournament team. David Edgar (soccer)
David Edward Edgar (born May 19, 1987) is a Canadian professional soccer coach and former player who serves as assistant coach of Forge FC. Edgar represented Canada at various levels having made his debut for the Canadian senior team on February 9, 2011, and was a member of the Canadian U-20 team at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Kwame Awuah
Kwame Awuah (born December 2, 1995) is a Canadian professional soccer player. Club career Early career Awuah played for the Club Uruguary Toronto, Woodbridge Strikers, the Ontario provincial program and the Dante Alighieri varsity boys soccer team, for which he was elected MVP. In 2013, he graduated from the Sigma FC Academy program. Awuah then played for the UConn Huskies where he played as a left back, a center midfielder, and a left winger. Reading United AC is an American soccer team based in Reading, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1995, the team plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid.
