Reading United AC is an American soccer team based in Reading, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1995, the team plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The club plays its home games at Don Thomas Stadium on the campus of Exeter Township Senior High School. The club's colors are white, black, gold, and navy blue. United formerly fielded a team in the Super-20 League, a league for players seventeen to twenty years of age under the United Soccer Leagues umbrella. Prior to the 2010 season, the team was known as the Reading Rage. On December 21, 2009, the Rage organization announced its agreement with Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union to become their official minor league affiliate, and re-branded as Reading United A.C. with immediate effect. Chivas USA (pronounced ''CHEE-vahs'') was an American professional soccer team based in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson, California. Brian Tyler Ownby (born July 16, 1990) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Louisville City in the USL Championship. Early life Personal Ownby was born in Glen Allen, Virginia to parents Steve and Andrea Ownby and has a younger brother named Eric. He first played competitive soccer with the Academy and Travel teams of the Richmond Strikers. He attended Deep Run High School where he played soccer and became the school's all-time leading goal scorer. As a Senior in 2008 Ownby led Deep Run to a 22-2-1 record and the Virginia Group AAA state championship. Dawyne Ricky Smith (born 7 March 1988) is a Jamaican footballer. Career College and amateur Smith spent all four years of his college career at Bethel University. In his four years at Bethel, Smith made 77 appearances and finished with 59 goals and 39 assists and was named to the All-American Team in 2011. Smith also spent time with the Reading Rage during the 2009 season while a student at Bethel and Arantes Football Club in New York as well as the New York Cosmos U23 Team. The 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft was a secondary Draft (sports), draft that was held by Major League Soccer via conference call on January 17, 2012. The draft was four rounds and all 19 MLS clubs participated. Brian "Cobi" Span (born February 23, 1992) is a Costa Rican-American professional association football, soccer player who plays for Swedish club IFK Haninge, Haninge. Club career Span started out playing for FC Westchester as a youth player at age twelve. He stayed there for seven years and then went on to play two years of college soccer at the University of Virginia, scoring 12 goals and registering 8 assists during that time. William Jason Schuler (born April 27, 1990) is an American soccer player. Career Youth and college A resident of Allentown, New Jersey, Schuler attended Peddie School. Schuler played three seasons over four years (redshirting his junior year after an injury) at the University of North Carolina. Professional Schuler signed with Hammarby IF of Sweden's Superettan after the 2011 NCAA season. He spent two years in Sweden, scoring two goals for Hammarby in 26 appearances. He signed with Major League Soccer in January 2014 and was assigned to the San Jose Earthquakes by a weighted lottery. Generation Adidas is a joint venture between Major League Soccer and U.S. Soccer aimed at raising the level of young professional soccer talent in the United States. The program, sponsored by Adidas, offers professional-ready players in the U.S. developmental system not yet eligible for the MLS SuperDraft early entry, allowing MLS to compete with foreign professional clubs without comparable restrictions on player signing. Raymon "Ray" Gaddis (born January 13, 1990) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club FC Cincinnati.
