2020 Budapest Formula 3 Round
The 2020 Hungaroring FIA Formula 3 round is a motor racing event scheduled to be held on 18 and 19 July 2020 at the Hungaroring in Mogyoród, Hungary. It is the third round of the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship, and will run in support of the 2020 Hungarian Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying The Qualifying session was scheduled to take place on 17 July 2020 at 14:00 local time, however, due to excessive surface water on the track from the rain, the session was stopped after spins from Lirim Zendeli and Liam Lawson at turn 8. As a result, the FIA announced the session would not be restarted. Qualifying was, therefore, rescheduled to 19:05 local time. Hungaroring
The Hungaroring is a motorsport racetrack in Mogyoród, Pest County, Hungary where the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix is held. In 1986, it became the location of the first Formula One Grand Prix behind the Iron Curtain. Bernie Ecclestone wanted a race in the USSR, but a Hungarian friend recommended Budapest. They wanted a street circuit similar to the Circuit de Monaco to be built in the Népliget – Budapest's largest park – but the government decided to build a new circuit just outside the city near a major highway. Construction works started on 1 October 1985. It was built in eight months, less time than any other Formula One circuit. The first race was held on 24 March 1986, in memory of János Drapál, the first Hungarian who won motorcycle Grand Prix races. Campos Racing
Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport. In 1998 the team began by competing in the new Open Fortuna by Nissan, with Marc Gené and Antonio García as drivers. Gené won the championship and García finished fifth, with Campos taking the teams title. Gené stepped up to Formula One in , and his place in the team was taken by karting driver Fernando Alonso. Alex Peroni
Alexander Peroni (born 27 November 1999) is an Australian racing driver, currently competing in the 2022 European Le Mans Series for Algarve Pro Racing. He has competed in the 2021 Indy Lights Series for Carlin Motorsport, and in the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship for Campos Racing team. Peroni is the 2016 Challenge Monoplace champion. Max Fewtrell
Maximilian Bradley Fewtrell (born 29 July 1999) is a British former racing driver, and former member of the Renault Sport Academy and 2016 British F4 champion. He competed in the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship for Hitech Grand Prix alongside Kiwi Liam Lawson and Norwegian Dennis Hauger, having driven for ART Grand Prix in the 2019 season. Career Karting Fewtrell was born in Birmingham. At a young age, he moved to Malaysia first, then Singapore for 9 years. He also has an older brother, Sam, and a younger brother, Theo. Oliver "Olli" Caldwell (born 11 June 2002) is a British racing driver who is competing for Alpine in the FIA World Endurance Championship. He is a race winner in the FIA Formula 3, Formula Regional European, Italian F4 and ADAC Formula 4 championships and was a member of the Alpine Academy. Career Karting Caldwell was born in Hampshire, and began karting in 2013 at the age of eleven. Richard Verschoor
Richard Verschoor (born 16 December 2000) is a Dutch racing driver set to compete for Van Amersfoort Racing in the Formula 2 Championship. Verschoor graduated to Formula 2 in 2021 with MP Motorsport before switching to Charouz Racing System, after two years in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with MP Motorsport. Verschoor became the first Dutch driver to win the Macau Grand Prix, winning at his first attempt in 2019. Sebastián Fernández Wahbeh (born 12 July 2000 in Caracas) is a Venezuelan-Spanish racing driver. He competed in the 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship for Campos Racing, and the 2020 FIA Formula 3 Championship with ART Grand Prix. Racing career Lower formulae Fernández spent his first two seasons in single-seaters in the Italian, German, Spanish and Emirati Formula 4 championships. Frederik Vesti (born 13 January 2002) is a Danish racing driver who is set to compete in the FIA Formula 2 Championship with Prema Racing. He is a member of the Mercedes Junior Team and the inaugural champion of the Formula Regional European Championship.
