The 2019–20 Texas Longhorns men's basketball team represent the University of Texas at Austin in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by fifth-year head coach Shaka Smart and play their home games at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas as members of the Big 12 Conference. Shaka Smart
Shaka Dingani Smart (born April 8, 1977) is an American men's college basketball coach. He is the current head men's basketball coach at Marquette University. Early life and playing career Smart grew up in Oregon, Wisconsin. In high school, Smart was a three-year starter for Oregon High School (Wisconsin), Oregon High School in his hometown. He was a second-team All-Badger Conference pick as a senior and by the end of his career was the all-time assists leader at Oregon High for a career (458), season (201) and single game (20). Smart attended NCAA Division III, Division III Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, where he remains the school's career assists leader (542) twenty years after his playing career ended. 2018–19 Alabama Crimson Tide Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Alabama Crimson Tide men's basketball team represented the University of Alabama in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by fourth-year head coach Avery Johnson and played its home games at Coleman Coliseum in Tuscaloosa, Alabama as a member of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 18-16, 8-10 in SEC play to finish in a tie for ninth place in SEC play. They defeated Ole Miss to advance to the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament where they lost to Kentucky. They received an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the First Round to Norfolk State. On March 24, 2019, the school fired head coach Avery Johnson. Dylan Osetkowski
Dylan Osetkowski (born August 8, 1996) is an American-German professional basketball player who is currently playing for Unicaja of the Spanish Liga ACB. He played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns and the Tulane Green Wave. High school career Osetkowski played basketball for JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, California. As a senior, he averaged 14.8 points and 9.9 rebounds per game and was a first-team All- Trinity League selection. He led his team to the CIF Southern Section Division 4AA championship, scoring 16 points in the title game. Kerwin LaTroy Roach II (born October 24, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for Sagesse SC of the Lebanese Basketball League. He played college basketball for the Texas Longhorns. The Atlanta Hawks are an American professional basketball team based in Atlanta. Jaxson Reed Hayes (born May 23, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Northern Kentucky Norse Men's Basketball
The Northern Kentucky Norse men's basketball team represents Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky, United States. The school's athletic program began a transition to NCAA Division I in the 2012–13 school year. For the first three seasons of the transition (through 2014–15), it was a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference. In the final season of the transition in 2015–16, the Norse joined the Horizon League. Darrin McKinley Horn (born December 24, 1972) is an American college basketball head coach at Northern Kentucky, having previously served as an assistant coach at the University of Texas and a head coach for the Division I (NCAA) programs at Western Kentucky University and at the University of South Carolina.
