New York Knicks, tallying consecutive double-doubles for the first time in his NBA career. The following night, Hayes posted a then career-high 20 points in a 35 point loss to the
Boston Celtics.
On May 7, 2021, Hayes scored a season-high 19 points in a 107–109 loss to the
Philadelphia 76ers. On May 14, he matched this total in a 122–125 loss to the
Golden State Warriors.
