2019–20 REMA 1000-ligaen (women's Handball)
The 2019–20 REMA 1000-ligaen is the 53rd season of REMA 1000-ligaen, Norway's premier handball league. Team information A total of 12 teams will be participating in the 2019/20 edition of REMA 1000-ligaen. 9 teams were qualified directly from the 2018/19 season. The three top ranked teams from the 1. divisjon, Sola HK, Aker Topphåndball and Follo HK Damer were promoted to REMA 1000-ligaen. Regular season The season was stopped on 12 March 2020. REMA 1000-ligaen (women's Handball)
REMA 1000-ligaen is the premier women's professional Team handball, handball league for Norwegian handball clubs. It is administered by the Norwegian Handball Federation, and the winners are recognized as Norwegian champions. It was established in 1968, and it is currently contested by thirteen teams. Larvik HK, which has dominated the competition in recent years, is the championship's most successful team with eighteen titles, followed by IL Vestar and Byåsen IL with nine and five respectively. The league has previously been known as eliteserien, Gildeserien, Postenligaen and GRUNDIGligaen. Currently the winner of the championship play-offs is granted a spot in the EHF Women's Champions League, EHF Champions League's group stage. The twelve teams of the 2022–23 season. Follo (old spelling Foldouge) is one of three traditional and judicional districts in the former fylke (county) of Akershus, Norway - south east of Oslo towards the former county of Østfold, the other two regions being Romerike (east of Oslo following european route E6 going east and then north in Norway) and Asker og Bærum (west of Oslo).
