2019–20 National Premier League
The 2019–20 Red Stripe Premier League is the 46th season of the National Premier League, the top division football competition in Jamaica. The season kicked off on 1 September 2019. On March 12, 2020, the season entered a lengthy suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic, following the cancellation of several matches. Three days later, the Jamaica Football Federation officially cancelled the season on 15 March 2020 as part of its effort to help contain the pandemic. Teams Montego Bay United and Reno finished 11th and 12th, respectively, at the conclusion of the 2018–19 National Premier League season and were relegated to the Western Confederation Super League, their respective regional Super League. The two teams promoted from the 2018-19 National Playoff were Vere United and Molynes United. Regular season The season completed 29 matches for most teams. The Jamaica Premier League (formerly the National Premier League), commonly abbreviated as JPL and officially known as the Wray and Nephew Jamaica Premier League for sponsorship reasons, is sanctioned by the Jamaican Football Federation as the top division for men's association football in Jamaica. Mount Pleasant Football Academy is a Jamaican professional football club based in the parish of Saint Ann. The club currently plays in the Jamaica Premier League. History Formed in 2016 by Peter Gould, Mount Pleasant F.A., formerly known as “Stush in the Bush”, is nestled in the hills of St Ann, less than five minutes from the Runaway Bay main road, and has brought back football hype to the parish for the first time since Benfica F.C. participated in the 2010–11 season. The club gained promotion for the first time to the Jamaica Premier League via the playoffs on July 1, 2018, by finishing second in the four team table. Harbour View Stadium
Harbour View Stadium is a Association football, football stadium in Harbour View, Jamaica, Harbour View, near Kingston, Jamaica. It was built by Carvel Stewart and Harbour View F.C., Harbour View Football Club in the 1990s, as a part of the club's effort to transform into a truly professional organization. It is the home stadium for the Harbour View Football Club, and has a capacity of 7,000 spectators. The national team has played several international games at this stadium, as well as the club when they compete in the CFU club championships and the CONCACAF club championships. One highlight was the 2005 CONCACAF Champion's cup home game, which was televised to the world from the Harbour View Stadium on Fox Soccer Channel. The stadium has two bars and a Western Union outlet, and the field is almost completely surrounded by billboards. This provides revenue for the upkeep of the grounds. References

Prison Oval
Prison Oval is a multi-use stadium in Spanish Town, Jamaica, currently used mostly for football matches. It serves as the home ground of Dunbeholden F.C. and Rivoli United FC. The stadium holds 2,000 people. The name 'Prison Oval' is attributed to it being on the same property as the maximum security Saint Catherine Prison. Portmore, Jamaica
Portmore () is a large urban settlement located along the southeastern coast of Jamaica in Saint Catherine Parish, Saint Catherine, and a dormitory community for Kingston, Jamaica, Kingston and Spanish Town, which neighbour it. Jerome Waite
Jerome (; ; ; – 30 September 420), also known as Jerome of Stridon, was an early Christian priest, confessor, theologian, translator, and historian; he is commonly known as Saint Jerome. He is best known for his translation of the Bible into Latin (the translation that became known as the Vulgate) and his commentaries on the whole Bible.
