2019–20 Liga IV Bacău
The 2019–20 Liga IV Bacău was the 52nd season of Liga IV Bacău, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The season is scheduled began on 24 August 2019 and was scheduled to end in June 2020, but was suspended in March because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania. The season was ended officially on 26 July 2020 after a championship play-off match between the teams in first place in the Bacău and Valea Trotușului Series. AFCS Viitorul Curița, Viitorul Curița win the title and qualify to 2019–20 Liga IV, promotion play-off in Liga III. Liga IV Bacău is the regional Liga IV football division for clubs in Bacău County, România, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. It is organized by the County Football Association (Asociația Județeană de Fotbal) and is competed amongst 24 teams divided into 2 series, the winner is promoted to Liga III after a promotion play-off. The number of relegated team from the Liga IV – Bacău is variable and depends on the number of teams relegated from the Liga III. History In 1968, along with the territorial reorganization of the country, but also due to the large number of requests, FRF proposes a competitive system in which each county has its own football championship, which will activate the former teams in the regional championship as well as the racing and town championship teams from the previous edition. Club Sportiv Municipal Moinești, commonly known as CSM Moinești, or simply as Moinești, is a Romanian amateur football club based in Moinești, Bacău County, founded in 1948 under the name of ''Petrolul Moinești''. The club was declared bankrupt in 2009 and was re-founded as CSM Moinești. CSM is currently playing in the Liga IV and never played higher than Liga II, second tier of the Romanian football league system. Asociația Club Sportiv Gauss Bacău, commonly known as Gauss Bacău (), or simply as Gauss, is a Romanian football club based in Bacău, Bacău County. Founded in 2006 under the name of ''Mesagerul Bacău'', the club promoted to Liga III in 2010, then being bought by Municipality of Bacău and changed its name in ''SC Bacău''.
