2019–20 EuroLeague Women
The 2019–20 EuroLeague Women was the 62nd edition of the European women's club basketball championship organized by FIBA, and the 24th edition since being rebranded as the EuroLeague Women. The season was ended prematurely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 16 June 2020, FIBA Europe announced the season was declared void and would not be finished due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Team allocation A total of 19 teams from 11 countries will participate in the 2019–20 EuroLeague Women. UMMC Ekaterinburg
BC Ekaterinburg (russian: БК «УГМК») is a Russian women's basketball team based in Yekaterinburg competing in the Russian Premier League, and until February 2022 in FIBA Europe's EuroLeague Women. In reaction to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, in February 2022 EuroLeague Women suspended the club. Founded in 1938 as Zenit Sverdlovsk, the club had its name changed to Uralmash Sverdlovsk in 1960, like other teams from the city such as FC Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast. Four years later Uralmash reached the Soviet Top Division. In 1973 and 1974 it attained two 3rd spots, the club's best results in the Soviet era. After Uralmash was merged into OMZ the club was bought in 2000 by the newly formed company UMMC, adopting its current name. UMMC Ekaterinburg in 2002 won its first national championship. Olympiacos Women's Basketball
Olympiacos Women's Basketball is the women's basketball department of the major Greek multi-sport club Olympiacos CFP, based in Piraeus. The department was initially founded in 1947, being one of the best women's basketball clubs in Greece during the 1950s and the early 1960s, when they won 3 Women's Division Center Championships (1956, 1958, 1959), which was the most important competition of Greek women's basketball at the time (until 1967–68 when the Greek Women's Basketball League was officially organized). The department was dissolved in the mid-1960s and after a long period of inactivity, it was reorganized in 2015. Arka Gdynia (women's Basketball)
Arka Gdynia is a Polish professional women's basketball club. It was founded in 1946 in the city of Gdańsk as Spójnia Gdańsk. In 1992 the club moved from Gdańsk to Gdynia and changed the name to Bałtyk Gdynia. Then it changed its name several times. From 2001 till 2010 the name of the club was Lotos Gdynia after its titular sponsor Grupa Lotos S.A. Since 2014 the name was Basket 90 Gdynia and from 2018 the club is called Arka Gdynia. Diósgyőri VTK is a Hungary, Hungarian women's basketball club playing in the Hungarian national championship for women's, Hungarian Championship. It was founded after World War II. In 1991, it separated from the Diósgyőri VTK football club and began to play as Diósgyőri KSK. It won the Hungarian Women's Basketball Cup, National Cup in 1993 and 1994 and it was a regular in the Ronchetti Cup through the 1990s. PBK Nadezhda Orenburg (russian: ПБК «Надежда») is a Russian women's basketball club from Orenburg founded in 1994. Sopron Basket is a Hungarian women's basketball club from Sopron. Founded in 1921 as the women's section of Soproni VSE, it has played in the Hungarian National Championship since 1986. It plays its home games in the Aréna Sopron. Sopron won its first national championship in 1993, making its debut in the Euroleague the following season. Settled in the top positions, the team played in subsequent years the Ronchetti Cup, which it won in 1998 beating ASPTT Aix-en-Provence.
