2019–20 ABL Season
The 2019–20 ABL season was the tenth season of competition of the ASEAN Basketball League. The regular season started on 16 November 2019 and was set to end on 28 March 2020. On 15 July 2020, the league announced the cancellation of the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. No league title was awarded. Teams Listed are the following team changes that happened before the start of the season: # Taipei Fubon Braves becomes the 2nd team in the ABL from Taiwan. # CLS Knights Indonesia as the defending champion officially announced that they will not be competing in this season. # The Wolf Warriors relocated from Zhuhai to Macau; they still retained the Wolf Warriors name. # Westports Malaysia Dragons was renamed into the Kuala Lumpur Dragons. ASEAN Basketball League
The ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) is a professional men's basketball league in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong/Macau, which includes six teams from Southeast Asian nations (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam), one team from Hong Kong, and one team from Macau. The league was proposed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and launched its inaugural season on 1 October 2009. Fubon Braves
The Taipei Fubon Braves () are a professional basketball team, that currently plays in the Taiwanese P. League+, since the league's foundation in 2020. From 2014 to 2019, they played in the semi-professional Super Basketball League (SBL). They have also been part of the professional ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) since the 2019–20 ABL season. The franchise dates back to 1983 when it was founded as the Chien-hong Men's Basketball Team (建弘男子籃球隊). Owned subsequently by Hung Min-tai (洪敏泰), owner of Tera Electronics (新銳/泰瑞電子), the team went by the same name as the corporation for a number of years until it joined the professional Chinese Basketball Alliance (CBA) as Tera Mars (泰瑞戰神) in 1994. Southorn Stadium
Southorn Playground is a sports and recreational ground in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. It comprises a football pitch, four basketball courts, and a children's playground. Southorn Playground is bounded by Hennessy Road to the north, Luard Road to the west, Johnston Road to the south, and buildings to the east. It has been Wan Chai's main recreational area since the 1930s. It was named in 1934 after Sir Wilfrid Thomas Southorn, the Colonial Secretary from 1925 to 1936. Changhua (Hokkien POJ: ''Chiong-hòa'' or ''Chiang-hòa''), officially known as Changhua City, is a county-administered city and the county seat of Changhua County in Taiwan Province of the Republic of China. Macau Wolf Warriors
The Wolf Warriors also known as the Macau Wolf Warriors is a professional basketball club in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) based in Macau. The team was formerly based Zhuhai and was known as Zhuhai Wolf Warriors. History The then Zhuhai Wolf Warriors entered ABL in August 2018. The Warriors are claimed to be the first professional team based in Zhuhai city in Guangdong, China in any sports. The team relocated in Macau before the start of the 2019–20 ABL season.
