2019 Tajik League
The 2019 Ligai Olii Tojikiston (Tajik: ''2019 Лигаи Олии Тоҷикистон'') or 2019 Tajikistan Higher League was the 28th season of Ligai Olii Tojikiston, Tajikistan's top division of association football. The season will begin on 6 April 2019. and finished on 4 November 2019. Teams On 19 February 2019, the Tajikistan Football Federation announced that the season would involve eight teams, consisting of Istiklol, Khujand, Kuktosh, Regar-TadAZ, Khatlon, CSKA Pamir, Panjshir and newly promoted Istaravshan. Foreign players Each Tajikistan Higher League club is permitted to register six foreign players, with four allowed on the pitch at the same time. In bold: Players that have been capped for their national team. Tajikistan Higher League
The Ligai Olii Tojikiston ( Tajik: ''Лигаи Олии Тоҷикистон'') or Tajikistan Higher League ( fa, لیگ عالی فوتبال تاجیکستان, Russian: ''Высшая лига Таджикистана'') is the top division of professional football in Tajikistan. It is part of the Tajikistan Football League Organization and Tajikistan Football Federation. It was founded in 1992, with 8 clubs participating. The first champion of the league was CSKA Pomir Dushanbe. Currently the most successful team is FC Istiklol. FK Istaravshan
FC Istaravshan ( fa, باشگاه فوتبال استروشن) is a Tajik professional football club based in Istaravshan, that competes in the Tajikistan Higher League. The club was folded in 2013, but has since reformed. History In 2004, under the name "Uroteppa", finishing as Runners-up to Aviator Bobojon Ghafurov in the Tajik Cup whilst also finishing 6th in the Tajik League. In 2012, the club's stadium underwent a $3 million renovation upgrading its capacity to 20,000 seats. The Istaravshan Sports Complex was officially re-opened on 27 October 2012 by Emomalii Rahmon, the President of Tajikistan. At the end of the 2013 season, Istaravshan ceased to exist due to financial problems, being replaced by FK Daleron-Uroteppa in the Tajik League, after a failed merger between the two clubs. Ruslan Koryan ( hy, Ռուսլան Կորյան, russian: Руслан Грачевич Корян; born 15 June 1988) is an Armenian former professional association football, footballer who played as either a Striker (association football), striker or attacking midfielder. Balkh, Tajikistan
Balkh (Tajik: Балх), before 2017: ''Kolkhozobod'' or ''Kolkhozabad'' (Russian transliteration), is a town in Tajikistan and not to be confused with the ancient city of Balkh (Bactra) located in modern-day northern Afghanistan, after which the town was named in 2017. It is the administrative capital of Jaloliddin Balkhi District (Kolkhozobod district until June 2007) in the south-west of Khatlon Region. The population of Balkh in 2020 is estimated at 19,000.
