2019 OFC Futsal Champions League
The 2019 OFC Futsal Champions League was the first edition of the OFC Futsal Champions League, an international futsal club tournament in Oceania organised by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC). It was held in Auckland, New Zealand between 5–8 December 2019. Teams The champion futsal teams from six OFC member associations entered the competition. The OFC Futsal Champions League is a futsal competition for Oceanian club teams organized by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC). The first edition was held in December 2019 in New Zealand, with the champion futsal clubs from six nations represented. Atta Elayyan
Atta Mohammed Elayyan ( ar, عطا عليان; 21 June 1985 – 15 March 2019) was a Jordanian-New Zealand futsal player, coach, businessman, and developer. As a futsal player, Elayyan played on the New Zealand national futsal team and coached for the Christchurch Boys' High School. As a businessman and developer, he founded several businesses including Lazyworm Applications and LWA Solutions. He was murdered in the Christchurch mosque shootings. Early life Atta Mohammed Elayyan was born in Kuwait, to parents Maysoon Salama and Mohammed Elayyan. However, he grew up in Jordan. He was of Palestinian ancestry, and his father was from the Abu Dis area of East Jerusalem. Futsal
Futsal is a football-based game played on a hardcourt, hard court smaller than a football pitch, and mainly indoors. It has similarities to five-a-side football and Indoor soccer, indoor football. Futsal is played between two teams of five players each, one of whom is the goalkeeper. Unlimited substitutions are permitted. Unlike some other forms of indoor soccer, it is played on a hard court surface marked by lines; walls or boards are not used. It is played with a smaller, harder, lower-bounce ball than football.
