2019 New York City EPrix
The 2019 New York City ePrix (formally the 2019 New York City E-Prix) were a pair of ePrix which were the final two races of the 2018–19 Formula E season held in Brooklyn, New York around the Brooklyn Street Circuit. This was the third running of the New York City ePrix. Heading into the weekend it was Jean-Éric Vergne who led the drivers championship by 32 points. He managed to maintain his lead to take the championship after the second race, thus becoming the first driver to win multiple Formula E Drivers' Championship titles. Gary Paffett (born 24 March 1981 in Bromley) is a British racing driver. Having become a household name in the DTM, following fifteen years in the series and two championship wins, Paffett moved onto Formula E for the 2018/19 championship, after it was announced in 2017 that Mercedes would no longer be taking part in DTM. Paffett was also a test driver for the Williams Formula One team, having previously worked in a similar role at McLaren for a number of years, during the team's successful title winning years. Alexander George Lynn (born 17 September 1993) is a British racing driver. He most recently competed in Formula E, driving for Mahindra Racing in the 2021 season, winning the second race of his home ePrix in London. Lynn has also competed full-time in the 2019–20 FIA World Endurance Championship driving for Aston Martin Racing, has won the 2017 12 Hours of Sebring, and finished sixth in the 2015 and 2016 GP2 Series.
