2019 Netball Quad Series (January)
The 2019 Netball Quad Series was the sixth Netball Quad Series of test matches, contested by four of the five highest ranked nations in netball. The series was held in England in January 2019, several months before the 2019 Netball World Cup. Despite losing to England in the last match of the series, Australia successfully defended their title, eclipsing the English side on goal difference. Jo Harten
Joanne Elizabeth Harten (born 21 March 1989) is a former England netball international. She was a member of the England team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She also sits on the board of the Australian Netball Players’ Association. In 2020 she received an for her services to netball. She was also a member of the England teams that won bronze medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011, 2015 and 2019 Netball World Cups. At club level she has played in grand finals for Galleria Mavericks, Loughborough Lightning and Giants Netball. Harten has captained Loughborough Lightning, Giants and England teams. South Africa National Netball Team
The South Africa national netball team, nicknamed the SPAR Proteas, represents South Africa in women's international netball. The SPAR Proteas are coached by Dorette Badenhorst, and are captained by Bongiwe Msomi. The team are governed by Netball South Africa and sponsored by SPAR. South Africa are currently fifth in the INF World Rankings. History South Africa have long been among the top five ranked nations in netball, having twice won medals at the World Cup, once with a third-place finish in 1967 and later securing runner-up status to Australia in 1995. The New Zealand national netball team, commonly known as the Silver Ferns, represent New Zealand in international netball. The team take their nickname from the Silver Tree Fern (''Cyathea dealbata''), which is an emblem for many New Zealand sports teams. The Silver Ferns were formed in 1938 as a representative New Zealand team to tour Australia. Rachel Dunn
Rachel Margaret Dunn (born 14 November 1982) is an English international netball player. Dunn debuted for the England national netball team in 2004 against South Africa, and was a member of the England teams that won bronze medals at the 2006 and 2010 Commonwealth Games, and a silver medal at the 2010 World Netball Series. Domestically, Dunn has made over 200 Netball Superleague appearances, and currently plays for Wasps Netball. Dunn played for Team Bath before switching to Surrey Storm in 2009. Maia Wilson
Maia Wilson (born 21 September 1997) is a New Zealand netball international. She was a member of the New Zealand teams that won the 2017 Netball World Youth Cup and the 2021 Constellation Cup. She also represented New Zealand at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Wilson made her senior league debut with Central Pulse during the 2016 ANZ Championship season. Since 2017, she has played for Northern Stars in the ANZ Premiership. In both 2018 and 2019, she was the ANZ Premiership top goal scorer. Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament. The Copper Box Arena is a multi-sport venue built for the 2012 Summer Olympics, located in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, England. Previously known as the Handball Arena, it was renamed because, aside from handball, it hosted modern pentathlon (fencing, shooting, swimming, horse jumping and running) during the Olympics and was the goalball venue for the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Ameliaranne Ekenasio (née Wells; born 11 January 1991) is an Australian-born, New Zealand netball player. She currently plays for Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic in the ANZ Premiership. Ekenasio is known for her high work rate and smooth long-range shooting. Ekenasio made her New Zealand debut in the 2014 Constellation Cup against Australia. She missed the 2017 season due to the birth of her son Ocean, but returned to take a full part in 2018.
