Second Pashinyan Government
The Second Pashinyan government was the executive branch of the government of Armenia from 14 January 2019 to 2 August 2021. Nikol Pashinyan was appointed Prime Minister of Armenia, Prime Minister by President of Armenia, President Armen Sarkissian on 14 January 2019, after My Step Alliance's decisive victory in the 2018 Armenian parliamentary election. The Government was formed by the My Step Alliance, which consisted of the Civil Contract (Armenia), Civil Contract Party and the much smaller Mission Party. World Congress On Information Technology (2019)
The World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT) 2019 is an information and communications technology (ICT) event which took place from October 6 to 9, 2019 in Yerevan, Armenia. The 23rd World Congress on IT featured discussions related to the evolution of the Digital Age. It included sessions on topics ranging from artificial intelligence, virtual reality, smart cities to cybersecurity, climate change, and more. 2019 UEFA European Under-19 Championship
The 2019 UEFA European Under-19 Championship (also known as UEFA Under-19 Euro 2019) was the 18th edition of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship (68th edition if the Under-18 and Junior eras are included), the annual international youth football championship organised by UEFA for the men's under-19 national teams of Europe. Armenia, which was selected by UEFA on 9 December 2016, hosted the final tournament. A total of eight teams played in the final tournament, with players born on or after 1 January 2000 eligible to participate. Starting from this season, up to five substitutions were permitted per team in each match. In the final, Spain defeated defending champions Portugal 2–0 to win their 11th title (8th in the U-19 era). Ararat Mirzoyan
Ararat Samveli Mirzoyan ( hy, Արարատ Սամվելի Միրզոյան; born 23 November 1979) is an Armenian politician currently serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia. Before this, he served as President of the National Assembly of Armenia from January 2019 to August 2021. As a founding member of the Civil Contract Party, he ran under the Way Out Alliance during the 2017 parliamentary election and was elected to represent the third electoral district, consisting of the Malatia-Sebastia and Shengavit neighbourhoods of Yerevan. Professional career Prior to running as a political candidate, Mirzoyan worked at a number of employers in Armenia, including the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, HSBC Bank Armenia, REGNUM News Agency, and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems.
