2019 HKFC International Soccer Sevens
2019 HKFC International Soccer Sevens, officially known as The HKFC Citigroup, Citi Soccer Sevens due to sponsorship reasons, is the 20th staging of the HKFC International Soccer Sevens tournament. It was held on 17–19 May 2019. In this edition, there were a number of celebrations to commemorate 20 years of the tournament. Wallsend Boys Club is an English youth football club based in Wallsend, North Tyneside. The club is well known for producing professional footballers; more than 65 players from the club have gone on to play professionally, some of them even playing for the England side. They also have an adult team that plays in the . History The club was founded in 1904 by the employees and directors of Swan Hunters Shipyard in order to provide recreational activities for the apprentices and young people in the area and initially specialised in boxing. Hayden Ian Mullins (born 27 March 1979) is an English former professional footballer and current manager. He played primarily as a defensive midfielder, but he also played as a sweeper and at right-back. He was most recently the head coach at club Colchester United. Mullins began his career with First Division side Crystal Palace in 1996, and signed his first professional contract with the club in 1998. Brett Ryan Ormerod (born 18 October 1976) is an English retired professional footballer. A forward, he made 340 appearances in the Football League, including 215 for Blackpool, for whom he is the only player to have scored in all of the top four divisions of English football for the same club. John Paul Thompson (born 12 October 1981) is an Irish former professional footballer. He was a tough-tackling versatile defender, although he was equally comfortable in midfield. Paul Stephen McKenna (born 20 October 1977) is an English former professional footballer. Career Preston North End Born in Eccleston, Lancashire, after making his debut in 1997 he soon became a fixture in the Preston North End first team. His appearance tally was 427 at the end of the 2007–08 season. This puts him at number nine in the all-time record appearances for the club. He has worn the number 16 shirt since squad numbers were adopted by the Football League.
