2019 German Figure Skating Championships
The 2019 German Figure Skating Championships (german: Deutsche Meisterschaften im Eiskunstlaufen 2019) was held on December 21–23, 2018 at the Eissporthalle Stuttgart in Stuttgart. Skaters competed in the disciplines of single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance on the senior, junior, and novice levels. The results of the national championships were among the criteria used to choose the German teams to the 2019 World Figure Skating Championships, 2019 World Championships and 2019 European Figure Skating Championships, 2019 European Championships. 2018–19 Figure Skating Season
The 2018–19 figure skating season began on July 1, 2018, and ended on June 30, 2019. During this season, elite skaters competed at the ISU Championship level in the 2019 2019 European Figure Skating Championships, European, 2019 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, Four Continents, 2019 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, World Junior, and 2019 World Figure Skating Championships, World Championships. Nolan Seegert
Nolan Seegert (born 11 July 1992) is a German retired pair skater. With his skating partner, Minerva Fabienne Hase, he was the 2019 Rostelecom Cup bronze medalist, 2021 CS Nebelhorn Trophy champion, and three-time German national champion (2019–20, 2022). The pair represented Germany at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Personal life Seegert was born on 11 July 1992 in Berlin. He has studied sports science and biology at Humboldt University Berlin. In 2017, he joined the Bundeswehr's Sportfördergruppe (sports support group). Career Early career Seegert began learning to skate in 1999. The free skating segment of figure skating, also called the free skate and the long program, is the second of two segments of competitions, skated after the short program. The short program of figure skating is the first of two segments of competitions, skated before the free skating program. It lasts, for both senior and junior singles and pair skaters, 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In synchronized skating, for both juniors and seniors, the short program lasts 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Vocal music with lyrics is allowed for all disciplines since the 2014-2015 season. The short program for single skaters and for pair skaters consists of seven required elements, and there are six required elements for synchronized skaters. Tim Dieck (born 7 April 1996) is a German competitive ice dancer. With his former skating partner Katharina Müller, he is a two-time German national champion and has won many senior international medals, including two silver medals on the ISU Challenger Series and three gold medals at the German NRW Trophy. Christian Nüchtern (born 28 January 1992) is a former German competitive ice dancer. With skating partner Shari Koch, he is the 2014 Bavarian Open silver medalist, 2017 Winter Universiade bronze medalist, and 2019 German national champion. Career Nüchtern started learning to skate in 1994. He and Koch made their international debut at the 2008 NRW Trophy. They placed in the top ten at the 2012 and 2013 World Junior Championships and won the German junior national title three times (2011–13). Koch/Nüchtern won their first senior international medal, silver, at the 2014 Bavarian Open.
