2019 FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup Series
The 2019 FIG World Cup circuit in Rhythmic Gymnastics is a series of competitions officially organized and promoted by the International Gymnastics Federation. With stopovers in Europe and Asia, the World Cup competitions are scheduled for April 5–7 in Pesaro (ITA), April 12–14 in Sofia (BUL), April 19–21 in Tashkent (UZB), April 26–28 in Baku (AZE). World Challenge Cup competitions are scheduled for May 3–5 in Guadalajara (ESP), August 16–18 in Minsk (BLR), August 26–28 in Cluj Napoca (ROU), August 30–September 1 in Kazan (RUS), September 6–8 in Portimão (POR). Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup
The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is a competition for rhythmic gymnastics sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). It is one of the few tournaments in rhythmic gymnastics officially organized by FIG, as well as the World Championships (including the Junior World Championships), the gymnastics competitions at the Olympic Games and the Youth Olympics, and the rhythmic gymnastics events at the World Games. The World Cup series should not be confused with the Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix series, which is neither officially organized nor promoted by FIG. History In 1983, FIG decided to hold a World Cup event in rhythmic gymnastics. The event was staged as an alternative to the World Championships, a tournament held, at the time, every four years. Daria Sergeyevna Trubnikova (russian: Дарья Сергеевна Трубникова, born 2003) is a retired Russian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2018 European Junior Clubs and Team champion. Nicol Zelikman ( he, ניקול זליקמן; born January 30, 2001) is a former Israeli individual rhythmic gymnast. She is a two-time medalist at the 2016 European Junior Championships. Early life Zelikman was born and raised in Kfar Saba, Israel. Her grandparents, father, and mother were born in Baku, Soviet Azerbaijan. They had lived there, met and married; and in 1993 they moved to Russia, and then immigrated to Israel. She has a twin brother and two older brothers.
