2019 DTM Misano Round
The 2019 DTM Misano round is a motor racing event for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters held between 8 and 9 June 2019. The event, part of the 33rd season of the DTM, was held at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli in Italy. Background Jamie Green was forced to sit out the event with appendicitis, and would be replaced with Audi Sport Team WRT driver Pietro Fittipaldi. Fittipaldi's seat was taken by 2017 and 2018 MotoGP runner-up Andrea Dovizioso, marking the Italian's debut in car racing. The 2017 FIM MotoGP World Championship was the premier class of the 69th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. The 2017 season saw the début of the KTM RC16, which was previously used by Red Bull KTM Factory Racing at the 2016 Valencian Grand Prix ahead of a full season début. Season summary Marc Márquez started the season as defending World Champion, having secured his fifth overall title at the 2016 Japanese motorcycle Grand Prix with three races remaining. Bruno Spengler
Bruno Spengler (born August 23, 1983) is an Alsatian-born Canadian racing driver, currently racing for the BMW factory/works team. Nicknamed 'The Secret Canadian', he won the 2012 DTM Drivers' Championship. Career Early career Spengler was born near Strasbourg, France but moved with his parents to Saint-Hippolyte, Quebec, Canada, when he was 3. He went to school in Canada but continued to go back to France where he started competing in kart racing in 1995. Spengler continued karting in both France and Canada and then moved on to competing in the French Formula Renault. Eventually this led to him being signed by Mercedes-Benz motorsport and in 2003 he was racing for ASM in the Formula Three Euroseries. BMW Team RBM
Racing Bart Mampaey (formerly Juma Racing) is a racing team based in Mechelen, Belgium that runs the BMW Team RBM operation in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters. Previously the team had been racing in the European Touring Car Championship and World Touring Car Championship. History The team was formed as Juma Racing in 1974 by Julien Mampaey, the father of current team principal Bart Mampaey. Among their achievements were three wins with BMW in the Spa 24 Hours, in 1977, 1982 and 1983. Bart Mampaey went on to create his own RBM team in 1994 which started competing in the BMW Compact Cup.
