2019 BMW PGA Championship
The 2019 BMW PGA Championship was the 65th edition of the BMW PGA Championship, an annual golf tournament on the European Tour, held 19–22 September at the West Course of Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, England, a suburb southwest of London. Danny Willett, co-leader after three rounds with Jon Rahm, won by three strokes from Rahm with Christiaan Bezuidenhout in third place. 2019 European Tour
The 2019 European Tour was the 48th season of golf tournaments since the European Tour officially began in 1972 and the 11th edition of the Race to Dubai. The Race to Dubai was won by Spain's Jon Rahm, who was also named Golfer of the Year. Scotland's Robert MacIntyre was the Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year. Changes for 2019 Rule changes From January 1, 2019 onwards, tournaments followed the new rules released by the USGA and The R&A which were designed to simplify the rule book and speed up the pace of play. The most noticeable changes included golfers being able to putt on the green with the flag remaining in, and drops being made from knee rather than shoulder height. Paul Alexander Casey (born 21 July 1977) is an English golfer who is a member of LIV Golf. He has also played on the US-based PGA Tour and the European Tour. Ross Daniel Fisher (born 22 November 1980) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour, where he has won five times, including the 2009 Volvo World Match Play Championship at Finca Cortesin Golf Club in Spain. Andrew David Putnam (born January 25, 1989) is an American professional golfer on the PGA Tour. Early years Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, Putnam graduated high school in 2007 from Life Christian Academy. His older brother Michael has also played on the PGA Tour. Viktor Hovland
Viktor Hovland (born 18 September 1997) is a Norwegian professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He won the 2018 U.S. Amateur and then became the first Norwegian to win on the PGA Tour (at the 2020 Puerto Rico Open) and on the European Tour (at the 2021 BMW International Open). Milton Pouha "Tony" Finau (born September 14, 1989) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour. Early life and amateur career Milton Pouha Finau was born on September 14, 1989 in Salt Lake City, Utah. William John Horschel (born December 7, 1986) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour. Early years and amateur career Horschel was born and raised in Grant, Florida. He attended Bayside High School in neighboring Palm Bay. Jan Sebastian Söderberg (born 19 September 1990) is a Swedish professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Söderberg was born in Eksjö in Småland, Sweden, but grew up playing golf at Delsjö Golf Club in Gothenburg on the west coast of the country. Andrea Pavan (born 27 April 1989) is an Italian professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He has won twice on the tour, the 2018 D+D Real Czech Masters and the 2019 BMW International Open.
