2018–19 Vegas Golden Knights Season
The 2018–19 Vegas Golden Knights season was the second season for the National Hockey League franchise that started playing in the 2017–18 season. The Golden Knights bolstered their lineup during the offseason with the signing of Paul Stastny, as well as the acquisition former Montreal Canadiens captain Max Pacioretty. They also acquired goal-scoring forward Mark Stone from the Ottawa Senators at the 2019 NHL Trade Deadline, and subsequently signed him to an 8-year contract extension. Prior to the season, the NHL suspended defenseman Nate Schmidt for 20 regular season games for violating the terms of the NHL/NHLPA Performance Enhancing Substances Program. Pacific Division (NHL)
The National Hockey League's Pacific Division was formed in 1993 as part of the Western Conference in a league realignment. It is also one of the two successors of the Smythe Division (the other one was the Northwest Division), though of the current teams, only the Anaheim Ducks, Seattle Kraken and Vegas Golden Knights did not play in the Smythe Division. Due to subsequent realignments, three of the Pacific Division's original teams (the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and Vancouver Canucks) left the division in 1998 but returned in 2013. The division is the only one in the NHL without any Original Six teams. Oscar Dansk
Lars Gustaf Oscar Dansk (born 28 February 1994) is a Swedish ice hockey goaltender currently under contract with the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL). Dansk was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets at the 2012 NHL Entry Draft with the 31st overall pick, the first pick of the second round. He was the starting goaltender for the Swedish national junior team at the 2014 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. Zachary Fucale (born May 28, 1995) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender for the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract with the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the second round (36th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Junior Fucale was born in Laval, Quebec, but grew up in Rosemère, Quebec. Dylan Ferguson (born September 20, 1998) is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender currently with the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League (AHL). Ferguson was originally selected 194th overall in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars before he was traded to the Vegas Golden Knights. He was born in Vancouver and grew up in Lantzville, British Columbia. Mark Stone (born May 13, 1992) is a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger and captain of the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the sixth round, 178th overall, of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
