2018–19 Stanbic Bank 20 Series
The 2018–19 Stanbic Bank 20 Series was the eighth edition of the Stanbic Bank 20 Series, a Twenty20 cricket tournament in Zimbabwe. It took place from 11 to 17 March 2019. The tournament featured four teams, instead of the five that were scheduled to take part in the previous edition, with the Rising Stars being disbanded. There was no defending champion, as the previous edition of the tournament was cancelled. Following the conclusion of the group stage, Mashonaland Eagles and Mid West Rhinos advanced to the third-place play-off match. Matabeleland Tuskers and Mountaineers progressed to the final. The final finished as a no result due to rain, so Matabeleland Tuskers were declared the winners, after finishing highest in the group stage of the tournament. Zimbabwe Cricket
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), previously known as the Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) until 2004, is the governing body for the sport of cricket in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Cricket is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and administers the Zimbabwe national cricket team, organising Test tours, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals with other nations. It also organises domestic cricket, including the Castle Logan Cup, the Coca-Cola Metbank Pro50 Championship and the Stanbic Bank 20 Series in Zimbabwe. In July 2019, the ICC suspended Zimbabwe Cricket, with the team barred from taking part in ICC events, which put their participation in the 2019 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier and the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier tournaments in doubt. Old Hararians
Old Hararians Sports Club is a sports club and multi-purpose stadium in Harare, Zimbabwe. The ground is also known as Old Hararians 'B' Field, it is mostly used for cricket matches, and has served as the cricket venue in Zimbabwe since its foundation. The venue The 'A' field adjoining the main 'B' field hosted one first-class cricket match in March 1950, when Rhodesia played Transvaal. The ground played host to an ICC Emerging Nations Tournament conducted by the International Cricket Council in 2000 and played host to five matches. Cephas Zhuwao
Cephas Zhuwao (born 15 December 1984) is a Zimbabwean international cricketer. He bats left-handed and bowls slow left arm orthodox spin. Zhuwao made his first-class debut for Northerns in May 2007, having made his limited-overs debut in January 2006. Despite having played well against a Pakistan academy side, he was a surprise selection for the Zimbabwean national side in October 2008. He made his International Twenty20 debut in the 2008 Quadrangular Twenty20 Series in Canada against Canada, also playing against Pakistan.
