Scottish Professional Football League
The Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) is the national men's association football league in Scotland. The league was formed in June 2013 following a merger between the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football League. As well as operating its league competition, which consists of the top four levels of the Scottish football league system, the SPFL also operates two domestic cup competitions, the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Challenge Cup. While the Scottish Cup includes all the teams within the SPFL, the competition is run and organised by the Scottish Football Association. Darren Young (Scottish Footballer)
Darren Young (born 13 October 1978 in Glasgow) is a Scottish football coach and former player, who is currently the manager of Stirling Albion. Over the course of his career he has also played for Aberdeen, Dundee, Dunfermline Athletic and Greenock Morton. Between his spells at Dundee and Morton, Young played two trial matches for Queen of the South. Young has also managed several clubs, being in charge of Albion Rovers and East Fife in the Scottish lower leagues. Playing career Aberdeen Young grew up in Whitlawburn, Cambuslang and attended Cathkin High School. He started his career at Aberdeen (where he was later to be joined by younger brother Derek), joining the senior squad after a loan spell at Crombie Sports on 29 February 1996. Stuart Kettlewell (born 4 June 1984) is a Scottish football coach and former player who is the manager of Scottish Premiership club Motherwell. He played as a midfielder for Queen's Park, Clyde, Ross County and Brora Rangers. Playing career Queen's Park Kettlewell began his career with Queen's Park. He made 182 appearances for the ''Spiders'' in all competitions, scoring 11 goals, and held the captain's armband from 2006 until he left the club. Clyde Kettlewell became Clyde's first summer signing of 2008, when he joined the Broadwood side on 19 May. He made his Clyde debut in July 2008, in a 2–0 victory over Annan Athletic in the Scottish Challenge Cup. He was appointed team captain before the game. Steve Ferguson (footballer)
Steven Ferguson (born 18 May 1977) is a Scottish football player, coach and executive. He was appointed assistant manager of Ross County in June 2014, having previously been a coach at the club. When manager Derek Adams was sacked in August 2014, Ferguson was placed in temporary control of the club. He then became academy director, and was again placed in temporary charge of the first team in September 2017. Ferguson was appointed co-manager of Ross County in March 2018, working with Stuart Kettlewell. Gary Holt (footballer)
Gary James Holt (born 9 March 1973) is a Scottish football player and coach, who was most recently the sporting director at Falkirk. Holt first played competitively for Kilmarnock, making 138 appearances, before transferring to Norwich City, where he made 168 appearances. During his time with Kilmarnock and Norwich he also received ten caps for the Scotland national football team, scoring one goal. Later in his career, Holt also played for Nottingham Forest, Wycombe Wanderers, Colchester United and Lowestoft Town. After his retirement from playing football, Holt joined the Norwich City Academy. He then managed Falkirk for just over a year until June 2014, when he returned to Norwich as a first-team coach. Holt was then head coach of Scottish Premiership club Livingston for over two years, until his resignation in November 2020. Conrad Balatoni (born 27 January 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Berwick Rangers, on loan from Scottish League One club Clyde. He started his career in the youth teams of Heart of Midlothian. Having failed to break into the Hearts first team, Balatoni joined Partick Thistle in 2012 after spending two loan spells there. After a five-year stint with the Maryhill side, Balatoni joined Kilmarnock in 2015, then moved to Ayr United a year later. Robert Linn (born 10 October 1985) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a winger for Midlands League club Lochee United. Linn started his career with Dundee before signing for Peterhead. He then moved to Greenock Morton, from whom he joined East Fife, initially on loan. After spending a year in the Juniors with Ballingry Rovers, Linn signed for Arbroath in June 2013, and would spend a decade with the club which would include a rise from 9th in the Scottish League Two to coming 2nd in the Scottish Championship.
