2018–19 Pakistan Premier League
The 2018–19 Pakistan Premier League was the 61st season of Pakistan domestic football and the 12th season of the Pakistan Premier League, and the first season to be played since 2014–15. The season is scheduled to be held in Multan, Karachi and Lahore between 25 September and 11 January 2019, with 16 teams participating (12 PPL teams and 4 winner teams of second-tier playoffs). Each team would get to play each other twice, meaning in a season they would play 30 games. The bottom four teams get relegated to the second tier. The team that finishes first would get qualification in the AFC Cup, but AFC denied entry of Pakistani football clubs in 2019 AFC Cup because of incomplete licensing regulations due to absence of footballing activity since the end of 2014-15 season. The Pakistan Premier League (PPL; ur, پاکستان پریمیئر لیگ) is a Pakistani professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Pakistan football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Football Federation League. The 2014–15 Pakistan Premier League is the 60th season of Pakistan domestic football and the 11th season of the Pakistan Premier League. The league began on 20 September 2014. Khan Research Laboratories were the defending champions, having won the league championship for the last three seasons. The season also sees the league reduce to 12 teams from 16 after six sides were relegated in the previous season with two promoted. Teams Pakistan Navy, HBL, Baloch Nushki, Pak Afghan Clearing, ZTBL and Lyallpur were relegated at the end of the 2013–14 campaign. They were replaced by Baloch Quetta and Pakistan Railways. The 2014 PFF League (PFFL) was the 11th season of the second tier of Pakistani football league system. The season started on 27 November 2014 and concluded on 27 December 2014. 2019 AFC Cup
The 2019 AFC Cup was the 16th edition of the AFC Cup, Asia's secondary club association football, football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Al Ahed FC, Al-Ahed won the title for the first time, defeating 4.25 SC, April 25 in the 2019 AFC Cup Final, final. Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya were the title holders, having won the previous three editions of the tournament. AFC Cup
The AFC Cup is an annual continental club football competition organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Under its current rules, the competition is played primarily between clubs from nations that did not receive direct qualifying slots in the top-tier AFC Champions League, based on the AFC Club Competitions Ranking. Al-Kuwait SC and Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya are the most successful clubs in the competition's history, having won three titles each.
