The 2018–19 Melbourne Renegades season is the eighth in the club's history. Coached by Andrew McDonald and captained by Aaron Finch, they competed in the BBL's 2018–19 season and they ended up winning the title. Melbourne Renegades
The Melbourne Renegades are an Australian professional men's Twenty20 franchise cricket club based in Melbourne, the capital city of the Australian state of Victoria. They compete in the Australian Twenty20 cricket competition, the Big Bash League. The team is coached by David Saker and captained by Nic Maddinson. History Inaugural seasons (2011–2013) The Renegades' foundation captain was Victorian all-rounder Andrew McDonald and coached by then Victorian Bushrangers one-day coach, Simon Helmot. In their first season, the Renegades signed local state players such as Aaron Finch, Glenn Maxwell, Brad Hodge and Dirk Nannes, along with Pakistani imports Shahid Afridi and Abdul Razzaq. Melbourne

Cameron Valente
Cameron Valente (born 6 September 1994) is an Australian cricketer. He plays as an all-rounder and is contracted to the South Australian Redbacks. Valente represented South Australia at under-17 and under-19 level before playing for the Australia national under-19 cricket team in the 2014 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He rose through the ranks, impressing for South Australia's under-23 team in the Futures League and making his first-class debut in the 2015–16 Sheffield Shield season. His best performances for South Australia have come in List A matches, as he took the equal-most wickets in the 2016–17 Matador BBQs One-Day Cup and has scored two List A centuries. Geoff Joshua (born 12 March 1970) is an Australian cricket umpire. He has stood in matches in the Big Bash League tournament. He has also stood in women's One Day International matches in the 2014–16 ICC Women's Championship. Simon Fry
Simon Douglas Fry (born 29 July 1966) is an Australian cricket umpire. In April 2020, Fry announced his retirement from elite umpiring. Umpiring career Fry served as an international umpire in ODIs for the first time in a match between Australia and England at Adelaide on 26 January 2011. He stood in his first T20I in a match between Australia and England at Adelaide on 12 January 2011. He was selected as one of the twenty umpires to stand in matches during the 2015 Cricket World Cup, where was an on-field umpire in three group stage matches. Adelaide Oval
Adelaide Oval is a sports ground in Adelaide, South Australia, located in the parklands between the city centre and North Adelaide. The venue is predominantly used for cricket and Australian rules football, but has also played host to rugby league, rugby union, soccer, tennis among other sports as well as regularly being used to hold concerts. Rashid Khan Arman ( ps, ; born 20 September 1998) is an Afghan international cricketer and a former captain of the national team. In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Usually two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket. Matthew "Matt" William Short (born 8 November 1995) is an Australian cricketer. He represents Victoria at state level and plays for the Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League (BBL). He previously played for the Melbourne Renegades. Short made his one day debut on 20 July 2014 for the Australia National Performance Squad against South Africa A, as part of the Australia A Team Quadrangular Series in 2014. He made his first-class debut for Cricket Australia XI on 29 October 2015 in a tour match against the New Zealanders as part of New Zealand's tour to Australia. Will Sutherland
Will Sutherland (born 27 October 1999) is an Australian cricketer. He made his List A debut for Cricket Australia XI against Pakistanis during their tour of Australia on 10 January 2017. In July 2017, he took a multi-year deal with Victoria, rather than playing in the AFL. He attended Scotch College and he is the son of James Sutherland, the former CEO of Cricket Australia.
