The 2018–19 Hannover 96 season was the 123rd season in the football club's history and 30th overall season in the top flight of German football, the Bundesliga, having been promoted from the 2. Bundesliga in 2017. Hannover 96 also participated in this season's edition of the domestic cup, the DFB-Pokal. This was the 60th season for Hannover in the HDI-Arena, located in Hanover, Lower Saxony, in Germany. The season covered a period from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019. Hannoverscher Sportverein von 1896, commonly referred to as Hannover 96 (), Hannover, HSV or simply 96, is a German professional football club based in the city of Hanover, Lower Saxony. They played in the Bundesliga for a total of 30 years between 1964 and 2019 and currently play in the 2. Walace Souza Silva (born 4 April 1995), or simply Walace (), is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for and captains club Udinese. Club career Grêmio Born in Salvador, Bahia, Walace started his youth career with the academy of amateur Simões Filho Futebol Clube. While playing in a cup, he caught the eye of a scout of Avaí Futebol Clube and subsequently joined the club in the next year. Julian Korb (born 21 March 1992) is a German professional footballer who plays as a right back for Borussia Mönchengladbach II. Club career Korb played in TuS Preußen Vluyn, Hülser SV und DJK/VfL Tönisberg youth teams.
