The 2018–19 season saw Glasgow Warriors compete in the competitions: the Guinness Pro14 and the European Champions Cup. Season overview New co-captaincy The Warriors went back to a co-captaincy role - previously done by the club in season 2016-17. This season Callum Gibbins joined Ryan Wilson as the Warriors' co-captains for the season ahead. Glasgow Warriors
Glasgow Warriors are a professional rugby union side from Scotland. The team plays in the United Rugby Championship league and in the European Professional Club Rugby tournaments. In the 2014–15 season they won the Pro12 title and became the first Scottish team to win a major trophy in rugby union's professional era. The side is known for its fast, dynamic and attacking style of play, using offloads and quick rucks. Defensively the club prides itself on its 'Fortress Scotstoun' where the club play at home. John Dalziel
John Dalziel is a Forwards Coach for Scotland. He was previously Head Coach of the Scotland 7s team. He began coaching while at Melrose, and went on have coaching roles with Scotland U20, London Scottish and Glasgow Warriors. As a player he represented London Scottish, Gala, Border Reivers and Melrose. Playing career He played club rugby for Gala RFC as a back-row forward and captained the club. He moved to play for Melrose in 2008. He played for the Co-Optimists in 2010. Dalziel played for London Scottish for the 1997-98 season. He played for the Border Reivers in the Celtic league and signed a professional contract with the club in 2001. Coaching career Dalziel played for Melrose RFC and also became their Forwards coach. He was promoted to Head Coach for the 2013–14 season. Melrose won the league title in the final seconds of the season. Alex Allan (rugby Union)
Alex Grant Allan (born 28 February 1992) is a Scotland international rugby union player. He is now Head Coach at Hong Kong Scottish; and forwards coach for the Hong Kong international side. He previously played for Glasgow Warriors in the Pro14. He played primarily at loose head prop. Rugby Union career Amateur career Allan began his rugby with Harrogate Rugby Union Football Club and at Sedbergh School, before going to represent his University team. Aware of his Scottish roots he also played for the Scottish Exiles team. He transferred his university career to Edinburgh Napier after two years to join Edinburgh Academicals. George Turner (rugby Union)
George Edward Turner (born 8 October 1992) is a Scottish professional rugby union player who plays as a hooker for United Rugby Championship club Glasgow Warriors and the Scotland national team. Club career Turner was drafted to Currie in the Scottish Premiership for the 2017-18 season. Turner was drafted to Ayr in the Scottish Premiership for the 2018-19 season. Grant Stewart (rugby Union)
Grant Stewart (born 28 February 1995) is a Scotland international rugby union player who plays for Connacht. He previously played for Glasgow Warriors. His usual position is at the Hooker position. Rugby Union career Amateur career Stewart played rugby for Strathaven RFC before moving onto Dalziel and then Glasgow Hawks. Professional career Stewart has played for the Glasgow U20 side. Stewart was enrolled in the then BT Sport Scottish Rugby Academy as a Stage 3 player. Stage 3 players are aligned to a professional club and given regional support. James Malcolm (rugby Union)
James Malcolm (born 23 September 1994 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish rugby union player who plays for the Seattle Seawolves of Major League Rugby (MLR). He previously played for the Glasgow Warriors at the hooker or prop positions. Kevin Bryce
Kevin Bryce (born 7 September 1988) is a Scotland international rugby union player who plays as a Hooker for Pro14 side Glasgow Warriors. He has also played at Tighthead Prop and Flanker and has previously played for Edinburgh and Yorkshire Carnegie. Fraser James Macgregor Brown (born 20 June 1989) is a Scotland international rugby union player. He currently plays for Glasgow Warriors in the United Rugby Championship. Alastair 'Al' David Kellock (born 14 June 1981) is the managing director at Glasgow Warriors. He is a former Scotland international rugby union player. He played as a lock for Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors, captaining the Warriors to a Pro12 league win in 2015. John Manson
John Manson (born 22 June 1968) is a retired Scottish international rugby union footballer who played with the Caledonia Reds and Glasgow Warriors, two of Scotland's first professional rugby teams.
