2018–19 AS Roma Season
The 2018–19 season was Associazione Sportiva Roma's 91st in existence and 90th season in the top flight of Italian football. Having finished third the previous season, the club competed in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the UEFA Champions League. The season was coach Eusebio Di Francesco's second in charge of the club. On 18 June 2018, Di Francesco extended his contract to remain as manager until 2020. However, after a poor string of results and elimination from the Champions League, Di Francesco was sacked on 7 March 2019 and replaced with former manager Claudio Ranieri. The 2019–20 season was Associazione Sportiva Roma's 92nd in existence and 91st season in the top flight of Italian football. Having finished sixth the previous season, the club competed in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the UEFA Europa League. Shakhtar Donetsk coach Paulo Fonseca was hired by the club on 11 June to replace interim manager Claudio Ranieri, hired following the sacking of Eusebio Di Francesco the previous season, on a permanent basis. The season was the first since 2000-01 without Daniele de Rossi part of the first-team squad, who joined Boca Juniors, after spending 18 seasons with the club. Aleksandar Kolarov (, ; born 10 November 1985) is a Serbian former professional footballer who played as a left back. He is the current assistant coach of Serie A club Inter Milan. Kolarov began his career at Red Star Belgrade, but he did not break through and moved onto Čukarički in 2004.
