The 2018 World Karate Championships were the 24th edition of the World Karate Championships, and were held in Madrid, Spain from November 6 to November 11, 2018. Ali Zand ( fa, علی زند born May 25, 1999, June) is an Iranian karateka. was born in 1999 in Arak. Karate can be seen from the age of four under the supervision of his coach (Ghasem Shahrjerdi) and he is active in the Shitorio style. He has been in the national team camps since 2008, and together with his teammates won the first Iranian Men's Kata Team Adult Medal in the Karate World Championships in Madrid in 2018. Luigi Busà (born 9 October 1987) is an Italian karateka. He is a two-time gold medalist at the World Karate Championships and a five-time gold medalist at the European Karate Championships. He represented Italy at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, winning the first-ever gold medal in the men's kumite 75 kg event. Camilo Esteban Velozo Zúñiga (born 2 February 1996) is a Chilean karateka. He won one of the bronze medals in the men's kumite 67kg event at the 2018 World Karate Championships held in Madrid, Spain.
