2018 World Indoor Archery Championships
The 2018 World Archery Championships was the 14th edition of the World Indoor Archery Championships. The event was held in Yankton, South Dakota, Yankton, United States from 14 February to 19 February 2018 and was organised by World Archery Federation, World Archery (formerly known as FITA). Qualification and elimination rounds took place at the NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center. The programme featured was the same as previous World Archery Championships, with individual and team events in the Compound bow, compound and Recurve bow, recurve disciplines. Steve Wijler (born 19 September 1996) is a Dutch archer competing in men's recurve events. He won the bronze medal in the men's individual recurve event at the 2017 World Archery Championships held in Mexico City, Mexico. In 2021, Wijler and Gabriela Schloesser won the silver medal in the mixed team event at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. Anastasiia Vladyslavivna Pavlova ( uk, Анастасі́я Владисла́вівна Па́влова; born February 9, 1995) is a Ukrainian competitive archer. She has collected a career total of at least ten medals in major international competitions, spanning the World Indoor Championships, the European Games, the World Cup series, and the European Championships. Career Pavlova rose to prominence on the global archery scene at the 2014 World Indoor Championships in Nimes, France. There, she and her compatriots Lidiia Sichenikova and Veronika Marchenko powered past the German women (234–220) on a tactical 14-point advantage to capture the team recurve title (234–220). Lisa Unruh (born 12 April 1988) is a German athlete who competes in recurve archery. Unruh represented Germany at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro winning the silver medal.
