2018 TCR Italy Touring Car Championship
The 2018 TCR Italy Touring Car Championship is the fourth season of the ITCC to run under TCR regulations and the 32nd season since the national touring car series was revived in 1987 as the Campionato Italiano Turismo. The series will begin at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in April and conclude at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza in October. The Italian Superturismo Championship (Campionato Italiano Superturismo) is Italy's national Auto racing, motorsport series for Touring car racing, touring cars. It was established in 1987 and its drivers' title has been held by such notable drivers as 24 Hours of Le Mans, Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro and two-time Champ Car champion Alex Zanardi. History Established in 1987 under Group A rules the series saw champions like Johnny Cecotto, Roberto Ravaglia and Nicola Larini winning the title before switching to Supertouring regulations in 1993. That season was won by Ravaglia in a BMW E36, BMW 318i. The next years would be dominated by Audi and their Audi 80, 80 and Audi A4, A4 Quattro models as Emanuele Pirro won in 1994 and 1995 and Rinaldo Capello in 1996. BRC Racing Team is an Italian auto racing team based in Cherasco, Italy. The team is currently competing in various racing series such as TCR International Series and Tour European Rally. Luca Rangoni (born 23 September 1968 in Bologna) is an Italian auto racing driver. He is a married man with one son. Early career Like many racing drivers, Rangoni's first taste of racing was in karts, where he spent four years. He made his debut in circuit racing in the 1989 Italian Formula Alfa Boxer Championship, where he finished sixth on points. This was followed by two years in the Italian F2000 Trophy, which he won in his second year in 1991. In 1993 he competed in the Italian Formula Three Championship, winning the title in 1995 in a Dallara-Fiat. His success the previous year led to a drive in the 1996 FIA International F3000 Championship. Despite only entering one round in Pau, he ended the year in seventeenth after coming sixth in the race. Plamen Simeonov Kralev ( bg, Пламен Симеонов Кралев, born 22 February 1973 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian racing driver and businessman. Luigi Ferrara (born 12 May 1982) is an Italian racing driver from Bari. Career He began his career in feeder formula series such as the Formula Renault 2.0 Italia, Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, Italian Formula Three and International Formula Master.
